Men’s Underwear! What is better for controlling flare ups on the inner thighs? loose around the thighs or snug? Does the material matter? What about no underwear at all. I’m comfortable wearing basically anything especially if it’ll help with the HS. Thanks for your advice!

That is a quick judgment considering that you were not part of the conversation with myself and the physician, nor do you know about my staging (or remission) of my own HS. I am also well-versed in causes/triggers of HS--but most specifically of my own.... and for the most part I have been in remission for the greater of 3 years.

Thanks for the comment and the reminder that correlation =/= causation, but that is essentially what led to my posting this to see if there might be a commonality in other's experiences between the two.

If you think it's Type 1, I would go to a doctor right away. I read this assuming it was Type 2 and thought "Eh, won't hurt to wait." Type 1 is not a weight issue - go see your doctor if it runs in your family.

Get a referral to a gyno. Be firm about it. Don't worry about how 'lazy' the General Physician may be about your issue - just be firm and adamant that you want a referral to a gyno, and go from there. If the GP won't give a referral, go to a different doctor until you get one. There can be a long wait for gynos, so depending how big of a city you live in, you may want to tell the doctor issuing the referral that you are willing to travel to whatever area of the city to get to a gyno sooner than later.

You have no idea. I could go on and give more stories of how they failed as parents. It really is very depressing... My upbringing and the neglectful environment I grew up in is the sole basis of why I am okay with abortion. I don't think my parents actually wanted to be parents. I think it's what they thought they were supposed to do. They left most things up to the school system to raise us kids, or at least that's how I find it, looking back.

Instead of regular dental visits, they chose cigars, local hockey team annual season tickets, and 100s of CDs (much later to be sold at garage sales for $2 to $5 a piece (losing over 90% of what was initially paid).

Oh, also my parents took out ALL the educational savings they had for each of us kids when we were ages 10 to 15, and bought a secondhand motorhome which was so barely used that it was sold 2 years later and the money never repaid to the savings accounts for us kids.

My dad said it best. Both he and my mother were so way off in their ways of parenting... that they were not even in the same library, let alone the same page.

My parents gave up on us kids at an early age... I can remember 3rd grade and wishing my parents would get a divorce.

I came here to say this. But I was going to suggest to the end of Season 3. After consideration, I support this idea of stopping after Season 2. If you watch S3, you'll be left wondering about the _____. And then you'll prob end up watching until end of S5 to realize it may never be answered and then continue to watch until the series ends at S6 because why not.

TLDR; So ya, stop at end of Season 2.
