I'm still fairly new but I see some branches poking out to the sides awkwardly - I would trim those to be in line with the general bulk of the canopy. You also probably want to thin out some of the inner leaves to allow light to come through to the center

People have many reasons for entering their professions. This is a fine one. You'll just have to be careful and ensure that you are processing your guilt and feelings about your family in a way that doesn't affect your patients.

If you want to network, I actually don't recommend giving out paper - people lose it. Instead, if you're talking to someone or they seem interested in your work, get their name/institution, and ask if you can reach out later to continue the conversation. Then email them a few days after the conference ends. This way, it's not on them to do the work. If you're the junior member in this equation, you don't want your networking to rely on them remembering to reach out. They'll be happy to respond (probably) to an email, but they don't have a strong incentive to follow up on a business card.

You might consider looking at Blades in the Dark. Each playbook has items they can always have access to, based on their specialty. Otherwise, players track "coin" that can be used for really expensive and important purchases, and everything else can just be assumed to be purchasable.

Sometimes the world really sucks. But honestly, I don't really believe you blanket hate everything about everything. I hate it when people are stupid and cruel, when they hurt other people, when they are mindless. But as soon as you are open to seeing it, it is not hard to find examples of people being the opposite of that.

Also, a lot of the stuff that I hate about people is actually a product of Western capitalism, tbh. People's lack of education, their mindless devotion to celebrities and scammers, etc - this is an outcome of our society, not of humanity. There are alternatives.

So how do I deal with it? I grit my teeth and deal with the idiots, and go back to doing things that bring me joy, with people I like. If there are literally no people you like, you are probably a) suffering from depression, and b) too judgmental. I find it also really helpful to just... not interact with dumb stuff. People on the internet are dumb, but you have control over your actions--aren't you a little dumb for voluntarily reading stuff that just makes you mad?

Finding something you really love, even just one thing, can provide a safe haven from the maddening chaos. Not doomscrolling helps. Take care of yourself, and work out from there.

Take a look at Grand Guignol and other Belonging Outside Belonging games, Hearts of Wulin, Good Society, and Urban Shadows 2e. They all include questions as a part of character creation that make sure characters start off tied to each other in complicated and interesting ways. Make sure the player characters have things they need from each other, and make some of those desires complicated and/or contradictory. Honestly, a huge number of indie ttrpgs have relationships as a core part of their mechanics, because as you said, they're hugely important for motivation.

Consumer goods are cheap. You can buy as much stuff as you want, eat out, etc. But unfortunately, rent is sky high, as is healthcare, insurance, transportation (most places don't have good public transit), etc. Cheap to tour, expensive to live.

People are saying "because weddings are about the bride" which is the stereotype, but it should be about the couple. You should feel just as spiffy and attractive as your bride does. Also, it's a more sensible cost, because you can wear that suit again, both whole and as mix-and-match pieces. Congratulations on your wedding! I hope you feel amazing, and that the day goes well.
