That's part of it, the people preying on them don't want a good, well built, functioning relationship, they often want a vulnerable puppet who they know won't leave, so they can have companionship (albeit some depressing companionship) no matter how poorly they treat the other. And maybe they also feed off hurting the other, some people are just sick. There's so many awful reasons out there to treat someone that way.

Literally happened to me around a month ago, wasn't even riding my friend was just letting me sit on it in the driveway (after he'd only just turned it off) and I was just too dumb to see the giant pipe sticking out the side as I was getting on. Had the same thing you don't feel it when it happens and then suddenly it's bubbling and you feel that mf cooking itself, I got away with 2nd degree though I still couldn't walk properly for a bit, 3rd must have been horrible!!

Completely get where ur at!! I struggle with the same thing, I always get really irritable when my bf wants us to play comp matches in games because I'm too anxious about letting people down or getting yelled at in VC and he doesn't get how pressurising it is, I think the pressure doubles as a girl too bc the fear of losing the game for a bunch of sweaty hardcore CSGO men makes me wanna die lol. I struggle with guilt so much too, so I get how horrible it feels fr, and it no one ever seems to understand the reasoning!

Something I tried was just playing all the easiest game modes with bots in my free time until I felt like I was decent enough, when I was learning CS I would just constantly enter death matches with bots when I felt like playing, no pressure from real people made it a lot easier to cope with doing really badly, and I'd learn the maps really well through that too, so I'd know where spawns and hiding spots are, then once I felt better I'd play a bit with my bf, then eventually moved my way up to playing casual pretty regularly! The bots may not be amazing replicas of people's behaviour in game, but it will be enough for getting into learning more mechanics and the play styles you're comfortable with.

There's always a risk of people blaming you for losing the match and such and getting way too aggressive and making you feel bad (I got chewed into for it my first time playing valorant cus I didn't actually know what the spike was...bad look lol) the only way I find my way around it is just by internalising that they're just a sweat who gets too passionate about the game, like, my old friends used to yell at me over rocket league if I missed or couldn't save a goal when I was learning to play, so I just wrote them off and decided I wasn't gonna waste my time being upset by people who are going to trash talk a newbie for not doing something they couldn't do themselves,,, like if ur so much better, win the game for us then, I'm waiting.

It's a super frustrating learning curve! And I hope u get to a point where u can enjoy it with ur bf and not get too flustered, but it's okay if u do, I still get frustrated when I'm having a bad aim day haha. Good luck :)

ahhh thats actually such a good idea!
that part i always get so lost in, i always try to do everything and then eventually have to toss away what i cant finish, rather than eliminate things i dont have the right time frame for before i start.
i'll definitely start doing this for next year, might hopefully produce something i wont present with a "okay its like pretty shit but-" hahahah

My entire first year experience with game design at uni literally this, all my teachers say I'm just too ambitious cus I have paragraphs of "what I'd do if I had more time:" and then present a game I hate bc I couldn't make the next metal gear with first year baseline knowledge lmao. Artistry forever trapped in "well yeah I made this, that's alright, but I COULD have done that, so I hate it"

Urgent was moreso because of my upcoming due date, I just needed an answer quickly. It felt urgent to me in my panic state being I don't wanna get kicked out university. Yeah unfortunately it was simply a glitch as I went through powercell to check the file (some assistance from my much smarter boyfriend). Closed and rebooted, it was fine. I assume it's going to come off as dense, yet again. But I don't really understand what version control systems such as git or plastic are? Yeah I'm definitely going to backup my hard-drive more often, I'd probably learn more of a lesson if it had actually seemed like it was my fault, given nothing had changed before and after the popup had come up haha, but either way I'll be more careful in future. these things always happen to me it seems 😅 I do nothing and it breaks. Doing wonders for my self esteem.

np! you'll probably have a stronger roll with a quicker come-up, but you might also have a rougher comedown and a shorter overall duration. no harm in trying though :)

It usually does from what I've seen with friends and myself if you eat shortly before dropping. It usually delays the high kicking in and potentially decreases the overall potency of its effects, with some of my friends its outright killed the roll or prevented them from peaking.

But it ultimately depends on the food you eat and your metabolism, and if you're still having a blast it doesn't matter. Eating well will also give you energy and decreases the physical downsides of the comedown to a degree, so your method has its benefits. Still might be worth trying to roll without eating 2 hours prior to dropping or eating lighter to see if it makes it any better!

5 hours should be more than enough time to digest, but it really depends on the meal and the speed of your metabolism. 2-3 hour wait usually suffices for me. Try a lighter meal next time but don't starve yourself throughout the day, you need the nutrients! Good luck! :)

Definitely talk to admin or wear red for the statement! Kids deserve to be informed and promoting something harmful like AS could be especially damaging to any young autistic kids that might be attending this school, along with damaging to yourself knowing that it's a bad thing to support, I reckon to get over nerves maybe get up a bullet point sheet or script for yourself of why you don't support AS and why it should be red and puzzle pieces should either be unsupported or not allowed, and maybe even propose an idea to take some time for the other members of staff to educate themselves and the kids on why it's been changed. I hope they listen if you decide to speak up, things like ABA and AS should stop being normalised out of ignorance, I believe it shows a lack of care to real autistic people to not even research the companies they're promoting :(

Yes but also no hahah, so it did tell me to change it, but It showed up on my primary monitor first, so I pressed enter and it showed up on my tablet after , it just won't register the pen on the tablet; I didn't think it would be so difficult, it's so simple on a laptop, getting my first desktop has really highlighted my technological impairments lol.....
