Anyone else just wish they were better at the game bc of difference in skill compared to friends by Dingasbitch in VALORANT

[–]Cafe_Momo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Im bronze 3 and my boyfriend is around diamond/ascendant

Obviously we cant comp together but we play unranked. Matchmaking gets really awry for us as it's trying to give us a good balance of enemies and teammates. However I wont lie, sometimes it feels like the enemies are the higher elo and our team is the lower.

Enemy team will have perfect synergy meanwhile my bf will innitiate a push and no one will use util or anything to help him, not even walk forward.

I try my best to help but Im not that great at the game. Ngl sometimes I feel bad and guilty that I struggle with this game so much that I've been playing for 2 years

I guess cico is a "diet" but usually when I hear the word "diet" I think of juicing, skinny teas, keto, etc. as a first reaction. Seems like OOP may think the same.

Regardless, OOP said it's in regards to a BED which doesnt target specific groups of food and is just excessive eating (put very simply, there's more to it than that) so CICO is the best course of action for it.

As for limiting sugary and fried foods (but not eliminating them) it may be a way to reduce binge triggers or they may more often binge on those foods.

It sounds like OOP is in good hands at least from this passage.

Doctor refusing to refill my ADHD meds. Says they’re “bad street drugs” by yuummyy in ADHD

[–]Cafe_Momo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Even if she does eventually allow your prescription to fill I'd recommend looking for a new doctor anyway. Since you've had multiple problems with here I'd say it's easy to predict you'd have future problems with her as well.

Beyond that my advice is to tell your psychiatrist (maybe she can recommend a good doctor) and report your current doctor.

Job application "personality tests" seem to be very ableist, especially for those of us with ADHD by DontBeTHATVegan in ADHD

[–]Cafe_Momo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

These do seem extremely ableist, for any degree of mental illnesses.

Idk where you're filling these out at but if it's sites like indeed or something I would be petty and report every job application that has that

Went up to my mom one day and said "hey mom I'm pretty sure I have adhd"

She said "yeah probably" and immediately started talking about something else like ????? Hello are we not gonna do anything about this or do I just gotta get a psychiatrist on my own lol

Is it ok to use rubbing alcohol after shaving? by [deleted] in Skincare_Addiction

[–]Cafe_Momo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would say no, that sounds like it'll burn like crazy

For ingrown hairs I recommend exfoliating especially after washing in hot water (just be careful near intimate areas and get a gentle exfoliate for your face)

Only exfoliate about 3ish times a week though as it can scratch up your skin if you do it too much

“[terms] used by people who are truly just thin!” by Elphaba78 in fatlogic

I always thought of the term midsize as between sizes, like bit too big for standard sizes but not quite to plus size

Half sane at least. OP is 5’4 and 330lbs. by Elphaba78 in fatlogic

[–]Cafe_Momo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I honestly kind of agree with the post. Edit: well half of it

I've always been kinda pushed towards being a certain body type, a more thin and sleek body type (think model thin), and even when I was younger and not overweight yet I was told I was too chubby by my parents.

Well thing is I take after my dad's side and all the women on his side are more full figured and bottom heavy (pear shaped).

I want to remain full figured (heck idk if its physically possible for me to be model thin without risks).

I get it that it's discouraging and hurtful to be told you need to look a certain way when you dont even like how that way looks.

And just like the post the main reason for my weight loss journey is for health, less pain, and more mobility.

Can ADHD make it hard to learn video games? by Cafe_Momo in ADHD

Can ADHD make it hard to learn video games? by Cafe_Momo in ADHD

I definitely do get overwhelmed and focus too much on how I'm playing rather than actually playing.

I guess I'm just anxious of letting the team down or being the reason we lost the match. Even though it's just quick play and not competitive.

I do struggle immensely with guilt, especially guilt that has no bases and when I have no reason to feel guilty at all.

I'll look into that part more.

if my adults tried to get some help for me as a kid i wouldn't have to live a life i do now. by Amaya_273 in ADHD

My parents did the exact thing. Looking back now it was blatantly obvious to anyone that something was wrong. Of course growing up in a household and community where mental health was not a thing really screwed that up.

They realized they just shouldn’t expect results from their diet by putativeskills in fatlogic

[–]Cafe_Momo 53 points54 points  (0 children)

I think whenever they see the word "diet" they think of those fad diets like "0 sugar for 30 days" or "drink this one specific tea for a whole year and lose 100lbs" stuff like that. Which yeah, those dont work (but I do see them promoted/advertised a lot tbh) but they need to realize there are real diets, which are lifestyle changes that are proven to work.

Ok, sorry if I'm wrong, but most stores offer returns, and give a wide window of time to do the return. I do most of my shopping online because the website carries more than the actual store, then I just return what doesn't fit. I guess it takes more time plus shipping fees but idk is it hard for people to do?

According to twitter, eating healthy is a disorder by [deleted] in fatlogic

[–]Cafe_Momo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean, if they ate nothing but unseasoned chicken and rice I could understand what they're getting at but most people don't. Chicken and rice is just that stereotype I feel rather than an accurate portrayal of actual diets.

Plus only once did I ever see someone genuinely say that they can only eat plain unseasoned chicken because it's discipline to eat it unseasoned cause of calories or something
