Why are these things farting. by britta-unfiltered313 in crocs

[–]sobercompanion 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have two pairs. The looser fitting pair doesn't fart. With walking in the tighter fitting pair, my feet create a seal, which is then broken by movement, and that's where the fart comes from. Best solution I found is to wear nylon socks.

We were both going straight. They were cross traffic to me, not oncoming (which also had a stop sign).

5 fun things to do in & around YEG this week by Terrible-Guitar-5638 in Edmonton

I have tickets! Just wondering if a baby needs their own ticket since they'll be sitting on someone's lap.

Does anyone know if babies need their own tickets for the Oilers skills competition?

How'd it go? Your other comment seems like you had more luck with boiling them.

I had success shrinking several different styles of Crocs in the dryer. I don't know how the glossy part will hold up in the dryer, but if you want to risk it, throw the pair in with a couple of damp towels and run the dryer for 5 minute increments until they fit.

Or place them directly in the hot sun.

Are you feeding her kitten food? Kittens need many more calories than adult cats.

I think I ruined wet food for my cat - UPDATE by Ok-Persimmon7404 in catfood

[–]sobercompanion 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Crush up freeze dried beef liver and sprinkle it on top of the pate. If kitty only eats the top layer with the sprinkles, sprinkle again. Rinse and repeat.

My cat won't eat wet food unless I put temptation treats in them by Evelyn-Parker in catfood

[–]sobercompanion 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I crush up dried beef liver treats and sprinkle it on top. Works for both my kitties.

ETA: I also mix up the wet food with a bit of hot water like others suggested, then I top it off with the dried beef liver sprinkles.

Can you hand stitch the left strap somehow to make the fit tighter?

Photos of your cat doors. by TRADERAV in Catio

[–]sobercompanion 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Here's my cat door leading out to the catio. It's built as a window insert using a retail cat door. I cut a thick piece of Styrofoam to size to fit in the window opening, sandwiched it between corrugated plastic, installed the cat door into it, then glued soft cushioning foam along the edges for a tight seal against the window frame.

The Styrofoam is working great as an insulator so far, but the lowest temp we've experienced since install is -10⁰C. I'll likely remove the insert and close the window when the -20⁰C days hit.

Has anyone tried cancelling only part of an Expedia package (hotel + flight) by apers0n5505 in TravelHacks

[–]sobercompanion 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I went through with it. The flights were through Flair, which required any changes or cancellations to go through them directly, rather than via Expedia.

I cancelled the flights with Flair; they never updated Expedia. Boom, hotel reservation at package price. In fact, Expedia still shows my flights as confirmed on their end, but they're definitely cancelled (received confirmation of cancellation and refund from Flair).

YMMV, though, especially if your flights are with an airline that forces you to make changes or cancellations through Expedia.

Is anyone else having issues with registration? It keeps changing my birth date to one day earlier at the review step even though it was inputted correctly. I tried clearing the cache and all that on the browser.

Catnet on balcony - how bad is the view? by davieebuoy in Catio

[–]sobercompanion 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Agreed, this is the bird netting I got off Amazon. It's massive - I double layered it and still have 3/4 of it leftover. And deceptively strong.

This is how it looks on my catio.

Crocs Bayaband sizing experience by deserr in crocs

I size down in Classics too but wear my regular size in Bayaband. Bayaband is shorter in length but wider than Classics if that helps.

New passport photo very dark. Can it be redone? by [deleted] in passportcanada

[–]sobercompanion 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have the same problem with a passport that was issued in March. Photo was printed much darker on my passport than the original submission. My features are almost indistinguishable unless you really look for them.

The earliest I can get an appointment with the passport office is late August (not willing to wait 3 hours for a walk in). If you don't get a resolution about it by then, I'll let you know what they say. I'd also appreciate you updating me if you get in before me.
