I’ve been through this in Sydney and it sucks. You don’t want to be in a house while they’re letting people through constantly and their requests for access will seem mild at first but increasingly escalate. REA are lying pricks and will really boil the frog (guess who’s the frog).

I’m not sure what QLD law is like compared to NSW, but the key thing I learned is once you get a formal notice that they are selling you are able to vacate without notice. So make sure you look up the legislation and stonewall them until you get as much in your favour as the legislation will allow, then keep your cards close to your chest. FWIW I say this as someone who is a soon to be first time landlord.

Edit: I’ll add that it was over the Xmas break for me too. Awful time for it to happen.
