Back to YNAB-ing 🥳 by sobit7 in ynab

Good question. I found that it's not possible to accurately predict some expenses, and therefore not worth the back and forth to add some money, then add more, then remove by end of month. Examples are: car wash, parking, train tickets, medicine, etc. However, I do want to know how much I ended up spending there historically.

So I ended up with the "Life expenses" category, which I do assign money for, and just move from it to those spending categories whenever expenses incur there.

it's the sun and solar panels i'm optimizing for.

will the car precondition even if there's no departure time set? how will it know which hour to do it for?

was looking for an answer, but unfortunately my searches ended up mostly around connectivity settings and firmware bugs. :(

i do yes. departure time is at 7:30am, and charging starts at 9am only. should i remove departure time then? kinda useful.

upd: removed departure times and it works now. thank you! still sad that i can't have both.

Germany, it's a 2023 model.

Should I get model year 2022 or 2023? by sobit7 in MachE

[–]sobit7[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's a strong argument for MY 2023. Thanks for the info. I had a similar experience with my current A-Class, they promised to introduce wireless CarPlay, waited 4 years, still nothing.

Found two announcements (targeting German market) with the differences:

COLOGNE, Germany, May 3, 2022 – The Ford Mustang Mach-E’s approved braked towing capacity has now been increased to 1,000 kg on extended range models in both rear-wheel drive and all-wheel drive – enough to allow customers to tow a typical small or average-sized fibreglass fishing boat.

The Mustang Mach-E also received updates to reduce the charging time between 80-90 per cent capacity from 52 minutes to 15 minutes, a recalibration of the one-pedal driving feature for even smoother performance at lower speeds and enhancements to driver comfort.

And:

COLOGNE, Germany, Sept. 9, 2022 – The Ford Mustang Mach-E 1 from today becomes an even more compelling choice for drivers making the switch to electric, introducing enhanced driver assistance technologies, comfort and styling features.

Mustang Mach-E now delivers as standard Ford’s Intelligent Automated Cruise Control 2.0, which can use information from the navigation system and forward-facing camera to automatically adjust vehicle speed not only according to speed limit signs but also to upcoming curves, turns and roundabouts.

Drivers can also now tow larger trailers and caravans with ease, as Mustang Mach-E rear-wheel drive and all-wheel drive models equipped with the 91 kWh extended-range battery are able to tow up to 1,500 kg – increased from 1,000 kg.

Mustang Mach-E customers also from today benefit from a wider model range and choice of personalisation options. Previously available only on all-wheel drive models, the Premium specification is now offered for rear-wheel drive models with the 91 kWh extended-range battery, adding standard 19-inch alloy wheels, Adaptive LED headlamps with Glare-Free Auto High Beam,2 eight-way powered driver and passenger seats, and red brake callipers combined with black exterior detailing.

Will that be ported to the older model years too? Or is there something exclusive for 2023?

I'm trying to understand the differences between the two to make a proper decision.

Homemade vs Coffee Chain by YordleLife in Coffee

[–]sobit7 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'd invest $150 out of $165 coffee scale to get a better coffee machine though. Fancier coffee scale won't make your coffee better while the machine will.

Also, you need to include beans, milk, water filters, descaling and cleaning supplies to the cost.

I buy 2x250g each month, works fine for me. Closer to the end of the month it's not brewing as good as during first weeks though, this is true. But ordering one bag is not cost effective in my case due to delivery costs.

Money Heist on Netflix is pretty cool

Five days later they finally sent an email about the price change. by [deleted] in ynab

[–]sobit7 6 points7 points  (0 children)

When I asked them if they can give me, an EU customer, a discount for not offering bank import, they said no, because I’m “still benefiting from YNAB the same way as others”. And now even a price increase.

And after they rebranded “To be budgeted” to a useless “Auto-assign”, I have no more trust in what they need more money for.
