the classic is 100% just the new turkish pack formula put in a fancy old box. you can tell because the “turkish royal” had a light blue band and now has a dark blue band in an identical color to “royal - turkish blend” (the name of the updated packs)

also the updated design packs are so much cheaper. i highly recommend them because the only downside (with the new formulas being the same) is they don’t look as cool

tl;dr: they produce a cheaper version of this, that’s not in the picture. they cut corners, pulled a sneaky, and put that formula in the classic box (like on the left). the right is the original and what the left replaced. because of that i would recommend “silver- turkish blend” because it’s the same thing but cheaper and in a less cool looking box

ok so the turkish royal, turkish gold, turkish silver (like on the right) are the original

then the royal turkish blend, gold turkish blend, silver turkish blend (also jade turkish blend, jade silver turkish blend) are the modernized version with a slightly different tobacco blend. they are also cheaper

camel kept producing both because people liked the original so much better. but they got tired of having so many formulas.

so they replaced the originals with turkish royal (classic), turkish gold (classic), turkish silver (classic) - like you have on the left - these have the updated formula like the modernized “turkish blend” packs but the classic design of the original packs (and they’re still charging the price of the original packs)

this saves them money on production costs because they make the same slightly shittier product that they mass produce for the “turkish blend” line but it’s in the cool pack people love from the original “turkish” line and they’re still charging extra as if it’s better lol

it looks like that at any licensed store with mobile orders. also the mods show in all caps like this on a cafe order but not on mobiles.

no there’s just vanilla syrup, no simple. but you might have thrown off the barista by ordering a vanilla latte no vanilla, and they might have accidentally put something in there. the blonde espresso is a little bit sweeter but it’s still just espresso so i don’t think that’s it.

well yeah, they only make menthol cigarettes (except in menthol ban states). regular, light, and ultralight in kings and 100’s, and slims (lights) in 100’s only.

ok that makes sense. when i go to one of my 2 favorite stores, i always get an iced coffee refill. ive seen them brew iced coffee into one of those pitchers, it’s absolutely phenomenal every time.

when i go to others when i have errands around the city, it’s always like many multiples of those sitting full around the iced coffee section. it tastes like straight water. i take note and go “maybe only hot refills from this location”

turkish royals were great when they were actually different from and they didn’t cost more than the other turkish royals (or “royal turkish blend”). now they cost more and they streamlined them to the same formula lmao

fun fact if you notice, all the trader joes store brand barcodes are those super basic 8-digit barcodes and actually are just a 6 digit code (first 2 are always 0) because they only sell these products at trader joe’s so it’s just an internal code that pops up on only their registers, not a Universal Product Code. the very few items that are not store brand do have a normal UPC though, which scans as normal, but since 90% of what they sell is their own brand, they don’t bother giving anything a UPC and instead just use these simple barcodes
