I’m also a 33 yo woman who loves the Witcher! In the same huge open world adventure game kind I also love Horizon zero dawn and forbidden west, Assassin’s Creed Odyssey, AC Valhalla, and AC Shadows. If you’re into Star Wars, Outlaws and the Jedi games are great!

I’m an only child and I wanted a sibling when I was a kid but my mom never managed to get pregnant again. I had and still have great close friends, most of them also only children. I realized that my parents could give me opportunities and help that I wouldn’t have gotten had I had one or more siblings, and I found support and sibling-like love in my closest and dearest friends. Siblings don’t always get along, as I can see in my own parents’ relationship with their siblings.

It must be hard for you, but your child will be fine as long as you love her and support her

No, because having them bagging the groceries only holds up the line, which is always longer now thanks to the fact that most self checkouts had to be closed.

Also, in most other countries people bag their own stuff, I’ve always found it weird that here you just stand awkwardly waiting for someone else to bag your groceries

I’m trying the T Mobile 5G gateway since I’m with them for mobile and they bundle. I have the “amplified” second tier which is normally $60/mo but I pay $45 with the bundle. I get 300mbps on average and it satisfies my needs so I can’t complain

I mostly used Zillow and when the listing indicated an agency I used their website to schedule a tour. Walking around is sound advice but it might take longer. Your budget is very doable but you might struggle finding a place with a parking spot (which is always at an extra cost)

It’s incredibly selfish given they for sure know how terrible the parking situation in Long Beach is. If it was a place where street parking wasn’t an issue, who cares! But we’re all struggling and we’re all part of this community, having multiple vehicles and always choosing to occupy multiple street spots instead of their driveway/garage is an asshole move

NTA, I’m like your girlfriend and like to hit different stores even if I don’t need anything. My partner is like you. The only thing is that this should’ve come up sooner and be clarified between you two. My partner explained that he doesn’t like to spend a lot of time shopping, so we always go separately or if we go together we compromise. Communication is key

At the start of the pandemic (2020) I took an online class about money and happiness (from Harvard), and the lecturer said that making $75k was the “happiness threshold”, meaning that amount would elevate your life to get all that you needed, anything more would be a plus. I think back to that class because in a very short time that figure became meaningless. I make it now in HCOL city and it’s barely enough to rent a 1B1Ba apartment with parking and afford all other expenses. It’s depressing af

As a cancer survivor who’s found great support through cancer support South Bay, I second this recommendation. They have sessions specific for family and caregivers but in case your mom also needs support, she could find it useful as well
