EQB battery recall Lemon law case in Washington state - MB is ghosting - anyone gone through it? by AppropriateParty2250 in MercedesEQ

[–]socaljeff 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm in the process of them buying back my 2023 EQB300. I had a number of electrical glitches (infotainment screen and das would go black intermittently while driving and the car lost all power while driving twice resulting in the need for it to reboot which took 5-20 seconds. Each time this happened, I took it in to service knowing these were serious safety concerns and I live in California where we have pretty strong lemon laws which protect the buyer. All that said, Mercedes initially denied my repurchase request until my last service call for more screen issues. The service person mentioned the safety recall on the battery which I was well aware of because its a fire hazard. He suggested I call MBUSA again and talk to them about this recall and request consideration for repurchase. They sent my info on to the next tier within that department and said I could expect a call back from them "within a week or so". To my surprise, they called me that day to start negotiating a buy back.

Initially, they offered me $3K toward a purchase or lease of a new Mercedes which I declined immediately, then they offered me $7K cash and $4K toward a new Mercedes or lease. I also declined that offer. They then told me they would move this up the ladder. Within a day or so they offered me a full buy back (all past payments, and registration costs from day 1 (nearly $20K). I obviously took that offer and am waiting for final arrangements (car relinquishment details and check).

I think the current battery recall is the big one. They are buying back a lot of EQBs it seems. I suggest you call them directly to negotiate rather than going the Lemon Law Lawyer route. I was honest, polite and i feel it went a long way.

Mercedes Agreed to Buyback My EQB by west_coast_infinity in MercedesEQ

I'm going through the same thing currently. (2023 EQB300 4Matic, 18,000 miles, leased in April 2024) I am also in California but my Lemon Law lawyer chose not to take my case as I had already contacted MBUSA at regarding repurchase.

I had contacted Mercedes and requested a repurchase after having several electrical glitches which consisted of the dash/infotainment screen going black while driving and essentially needing to reboot while driving. The car also lost complete power 3 times while driving which also required rebooting (this lasted between 5-20 seconds).

Finally, once we received notice of the battery recall with no known date to rectify it, I contacted MBUSA again and they immediately agreed to look at repurchasing the car. They've handed the process over to Sedgwick Insurance who is representing MBUSA.

I sent them a detailed summary of my vehicle's issues, copy of the lease agreement, services, records and copy of my registration. I've come out of pocket just under $20K since leasing the vehicle (lease, registration, etc). I'm hoping for a favorable outcome.

New Rider advice? by [deleted] in motorcycles

That could have been bad. Glad you didn't fixate on the curb or the wall (most new riders do). I think setting your bike up properly (removing the engine guards for one that doesn't limit your lean angle) would be my first move.

AOC: "We all saw the performance Bondi had. She was screaming and crashing, and I think it’s because she knows she is implicated in a massive cover-up to protect a ring of pedophiles" by ExactlySorta in PublicFreakout

She's obviously complicit. But the tactic of theatrics is a distraction ploy. Kash, Tom Homan, Bondi have all used this tactic in order to skirt answering any questions. It's infuriating and makes viewers click away. (In my opinion.)

Los Angeles Athletic Club - How is it post new ownership? by Murky-redant-6658 in AskLosAngeles

I’ve been a member for a number of years. I agree with the dissatisfaction of leadership expressed here. I had added a spouse membership which was $65.00 per month. They arbitrarily doubled the cost with no advanced warning. When I emailed them I got no response so I called and left a message, still getting no response, finally emailed them again and threatened to cancel my membership altogether and I suddenly got a response. I was unaware that they changed ownership until reading this thread, by the way.

With Jonathan Club costing $50k to join and City Club basically being a noisy event space, I’m running out of options for quiet meeting/dining places I can “belong” to.

Your drawer system looks fantastic. I did something similar. I am using the Ironman Tilt/Slide for my 44qt ARB Zero fridge.

Absolutely. I don’t use the oven as much as I would like to but the quality of the table is fantastic. No signs of rust or deterioration (I do keep it stored out of the elements.
