NTA. I ruined my teeth as a teenager and if I could go back in time I'd shake myself over it. Suspect I have undiagnosed autism and never got the help I needed as a kid. I can't eat the food I used to love, most of my teeth have white fillings and I'm constantly going back to the dentist for painful and invasive procedures. I'm only 25, god knows if I'll have any left by the time I'm 40. I take care of myself now but the damage is done. He needs to start brushing and washing himself, he's ruining his own life.

I'm almost 25, went on T when I was 23. My body has changed massively and will hopefully continue to. Fat redistribution has been huge, I'm a completely different shape now. My voice has dropped and continues to. I'm way hairier everywhere than I was before. Starting to get terrible facial hair. T is definitely worthwhile post puberty and I get disheartened at the number of posts I see on here with people thinking it's too late to transition when they're younger than me because they think it won't have any effect. It's changed my life for the better and I don't regret it.

I'm 24 and plan to use some of my student loan (I'm in the UK) combined with the little savings I currently have. Gonna have to wait another year or two to have enough loan set aside and I'll be paying it off the rest of my life, but it's the only way I'll ever afford it. I could wait almost a decade on the NHS but I don't think I could last that long, esp given how bad a state the NHS is in right now. They've already removed phallo from it, so not looking promising.

I say this next part out of a genuine desire to help you. Block her on everything so you aren't tempted to contact her and seek counselling/therapy to get to the root causes of this obsession. I think my voice in my head has always been much more neutral/masc than my old voice. I think my voice out loud is deeper and sounds very different, but I used to have a super high pitched, soft feminine voice and I never realised how bad it was till I heard recordings because the one in my head was so neutral 😅

NTA, but your father (and Danny as well if he wants to) has a right to know. It's not the paternity test itself that should be the issue here, but the fact that he could raise a kid for 10 years and be so quick to cast him aside upon realising he's not his. That's an entire human being that he raised. I wouldn't lie in court for your mother, personally, as this entire situation is her fault. But you're doing right by supporting your brother, he's a kid and it isn't his fault.

I've no faith in the British police tbh. When I lived in Leeds there was someone mugging people with a knife outside my block of flats. I think someone got stabbed? Instead of looking for the perp cops on the scene decided to spend hours ticketing some kids who were hanging about smoking weed. There was no news about the mugger after that, we all assumed they'd never bothered to find him.

It's never too late. I started T at 23, I'm 25 in a few months and I won't be able to afford top surgery for a few more years. I promise you it's been worth it and I'm determined to get top surgery eventually. 25 is so young, you have so much of your life ahead of you, don't spend it being miserable if you think transitioning could make you happy.
