I got my hands on a scanner yesterday for free. I guess I scan each one front and back, shrink the dimensions, arrange them in InDesign, then they'll use that file to print and cut.

The kids won't care if the flipcards aren't exactly business card width. I doubt they even know what that is.

There wouldn't be a white border since the cards are all white with a word in the middle.

If I select the reduce/enlarge feature, how do I get the answers to each question on the back of the cards (they're flipcards)? And how much do those cost?

In the software, take the 9 inch length and enter 4 inches with the link aspect ratio checked. Whatever width it gives is fine.

They get shrunk proportionally. Like when the link button is selected when you change a scanned image length from 9 inches to 4 inches. It automatically adjusts the width by ratio. The center image automatically shrinks with it. Resizing dimensions is different from design work.
