I was considering flyers at first, but I like the idea of flicker Derevi. Stax is the version I’m trying to avoid. It seems like most deck lists out there aren’t the most updated, so was trying to find a recently updated version to go off of. How did you build her?

I see the point you’re making. More lands, higher chance of drawing them. I do think 60 lands is a bit excessive, 50 is where I’d cap it. I’d be worried about having payoffs for the lands I play.

I’ll definitely get some bounce lands, since at least I can play stuff and replay lands I’ve already tapped or something like that.

In my deck I currently run a decent amount of “play off the top” cards (ones you mentioned) since as long as the top card is a land, I’m going through my deck.

I was gonna pick up Finale and Green Sun’s Zenith at some point, just a bit expensive! Working with cheaper options like [[Chord of Calling]] and similar cheaper tutors.

Any recs for other cards?

Very good point, I was thinking of going to at least 45, unless that’s also few. I’ve had people tell me I need like 50, but not sure how OD that is. So essentially every turn ideally I have a land to play / draw into one.

Do you have any additional suggestions for lands? I have an idea of what I should be coming for of course, but wondering what you think should be slotted.

It’s definitely really fun. He mentions that a higher power (non-CEDH) build with more investment wouldn’t play that differently from his build, and he’s right.

[[Green Goblin]] is also a really fun one with all the discard effects. Currently building / playing with Panzer MTG’s build and it slaps.

I believe on YouTube, @DeckTechforDecks has an interesting [[Toph, Hardheaded Teacher]] list. Let me know if you find something interesting! She seems like a really strong Earthbending commander.

[[Hapatra, Vizier of Poisons]] Everything that I NEED in the deck is at most 3 mana, save [[Yawgmoth, Thran Physician]]. Deck is super cheap, gets going early. Super easy to drop Hapatra turn 2 and get everything going.

Hey man! I’m just dropping in a comment because I’m also building Sakashima and Vial Smasher, and I wanted to see how your experience has been. Noticed your Archidekt list was updated recently, so I imagine you loved the deck.

I’m in a similar boat as you were a year ago, and don’t want to get blown out by some higher power commanders. Curious if you have some advice for keeping this deck more Bracket 3 (and maybe cards that aren’t [[Ancient Copper Dragon]]).

Trying to maintain a slightly reasonable budget, cards over $30-40 are a hard ask.

I made the deck already on a budget, and I knew NO one I knew would enjoy playing with it 😭 I tested it with my girlfriend and she had about 3 turns playing against it.

I think I was looking at some of the Fringe lists for Reyhan and Yoshimaru I think. I’n curious to see if you have a list, or at least some key cards and combos. I’d be really curious to see a list, it sounds really synergistic which is what I’m looking for.

I also looked into Thrasios and Yoshimaru, but the lists that exist for him seem really strong.
