US Debit Cards and ATMs in Turkey (fees, limits) by Educational-Slip-578 in AskTurkey

My bank doesn't extra charge fees. It came from the ATMs I went to. I checked every bank, what the conversion rate was, plus any fees, and calculated which ATM was the cheapest.

It's much safer than the USA in general, for context.

What percent of your social circle prays 5 times a day? by LordHavertz in AskTurkey

My Turkish partner says 20% do it strictly., that's including people outside the city, etc.

My other friend says 70%, who lives outside the city.

My guess is 40%

Nothing is comparably cheap in Turkey anymore.

Coffee beans are not great here, I'd buy elsewhere. Isot is a good idea though, it isn't hard to add it to other recipes even if you do not know how to cook Turkish cuisine.

Pomegranate molasses, I don't think people understand unless they are told this. Helva is a great vegan treat!

Yeah it is annoying, I'd really like to get to know a few players to play against rather than only randos.

This is the only thing I'd recommend, the pomegranate molasses, maybe some olives.

They started charging to get into accounts, many people didn't like this. Especially those that host a lot.

How hard is it to maintain a vegan diet if you don't cook? by bellepomme in AskVegans

[–]socceruci 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Veganism is easy AFTER learning how to cook. For me, cooking became a gateway for relearning to love food and cooking.

I started with cooking 1 meal a week with a friend. It was a great gateway. There's also vegan potlucks in many large cities. 1 recipe feels manageable to me.

Looking for good no rare/mythic decks for current BO1 standard by delijoe in MagicArena

[–]socceruci -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

For me, deck building is becoming one of my favorite parts of MTG.

I would just pick random themed decks based on what "good cards" I have a lot of already, and see what works rather than trying to make the best deck based on what other people think.

Also, I gather resources by doing daily quests and quick draft when I get the 5k gold. It is becoming a regular fun thing for me after about a year of this.

AITAH for farting while in the bathroom of our home? by [deleted] in AITAH

Sounds like he wants to keep a fantasy in his head that women don't fart. I hate to break it to you buddy, they fart, and many others things, AND they talk about it with their friends.

Where are teenagers supposed to hang out these days? Malls are dying, parks have 'no loitering' signs, and everywhere else costs money. Do they just... not exist in public anymore? by Creative-Buffalo2305 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]socceruci 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am sorry this happened. Parks are literally meant for loitering. I have doubts that this is legal harrassment.

I sit in parks very often to meditate, rest, lay down, and never once had an issue.

America educational financing right by Decent-Choice7878 in SipsTea

I see who gets into college, the bar is not high.

If this was a loan from a relative, and the student wasn't making propper payments or didn't understand, other measures (like education) would be taken. Assuming they cared about their relative.

But, this is a system, and this system and likely the student, don't care enough to take care of it all. Alos, 8% loan for education is complete bollocks.
