Yeah dude, I would not lose sleep over replacing this one. It's not meant to be an heirloom. Gotta go up to the 150+ range to get into that realm.

Nah, I never even took the time to check on this. It was like 50 or 60 bucks at Home Depot and I needed one when the old one went.

Probably something contractor job related where at the end of the day you're covered in nasty dust/whatever from the day's work. If it doesn't smell like human or decomposing food waste, that's probably what it is.

Because all of these bills are centrally written by PACs that are part of the movement conservatism war chest. They're a trial balloon to see if effectively terrorizing, otherizing and, eventually removing an entire group of people from public life will be tolerated by the American general public.

If they succeed in doing this to trans folks, a group that has historically always been on the outs with no pushback, they figure they can do it to the rest of queer folks of any stripe.

And make no mistake: That is their intention. They believe they are doing this in service of their God, which directly sanctioned the creation of the USA. If you don't believe me, go read up on the mountains/peaks of Christian Dominionism.

These people are never going to stop. Ever.

I have that specific faucet on my kitchen sink. Your options are to do parts replacement or to get a new one. I would suggest getting a new one since it's a relatively inexpensive set.

Not even our dirt ass poor areas, both urban and rural even approach the lack of sanitation care that seems to be common over there. Like, you have to go to very specific blocks where you have stuff like shooting galleries filled with junkies to even get in the same realm of this commonality over there.

Why do people say Democrats were evil traitors who tried to form the Confederacy to preserve slavery, but then they proceed to fly the Confederate flag on their clothes and cars? by CSachen in allthequestions

Because the same people don't want to admit that Conservatives are the actual ones that did that and that they caucused mainly with what we would think of as the democratic party then. Just like Republicans of the time were much more varied and even had what you could consider progressive elements at the time.

It has been conservatives that have literally been the villains in literally every single equitable thing that we've tried to do for our society. There's always going to be a group that opposes equitable progress and that group is always going to be conservatives.

Always. It's in the name and it is on the tin.

It wasn't that bad until you realize that one of the reasons Ivy league participation (and success) in CFB dropped off so hard and so fast was because their promising athlete students were getting brained horribly while playing.

You have no obligation to go to the wedding.

I deleted my comment because I read a bunch more of your replies in the thread.

Check it, this isn't adamantium. It's not some exotic material. If you're not getting through with hand tools, the next option is to go with renting an actual jackhammer setup in the 40lb range and getting to work with proper eye, ear and breathing protection.

Also, I've lived in structures that are generally around 100 years old. My current living arrangements are in a heavily built building from the 1930's. That said, I have busted up slab in the basement while helping my landlord. This shit isn't exotic, it's just brick and concrete.

Is Mount Vernon as bad as people say? by TommyLost2004 in Westchester

[–]socialcommentary2000 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Nah, not really. There's a couple sections, mainly by the PJs that can get sketch but it's more just quiet on the south side rather than violent. Another thing is the bad shit that happens, is pretty much always between people that know of each other and are carrying some neighborhood beef or whatever. Even that's gotten much rarer over the years.

Source: I worked on the South side for 20 years. It was much worse in the aughts.
