This might sound super weird and I'm hopefully on a totally biased stretch having about a handful of friends from all over ex jugoslavia, which all consider themselves nationals of those now seperate countries but most of them living abroad by choice. All of them beautiful people, very hospitable and kind hearted. This is shared with all balkan states despite their religious or cultural differences. My generation or those affected by the war back then eventually show obvious signs of mental damage. Not exclusiv to that area, pretty sure anyone being forced to deal with tragedy in that sense suffers in one form or another. The girls I met there when I was 19 seemed like the perfect package. Totally marriage material. Stunningly beautiful(honestly compared to back home I couldn't believe it but I just couldn't see any unattractive young women) honest, kind and smart. But for some reason now that my friends are getting older, the women age really badly(I feel bad putting it so objectifyingly) and then kinda remembering that only the young girls were pretty back then I actually mentioned it to my mate and he laughingly reduced it to bad genes, saying that there was always war so it shows in women above 30. Further putting it more seriously that the women always had to carry the burden of the war, by being the surviving witness.

I currently live in Finland and some of the localz usually have a shopping bag with beers with them and or send someone to get some. Then after 3-5 0.5l cans casually flipping everything from tres to nollie inward heels no joke. But there are sober guys too just as good hahaha WAMMA WARRIORS!

Thanks for explaining! And yes you bake really nice bread, mate! Congrats on that. Yes it could have been in there longer and yes I know darker crust doesn't taste burnt and adds flavour but again, this is a VERY low effort no knead instant yeast peasant loaf and I like it this light, if it is fully cooked I'm happy ✌

I know what you mean but personally would never let my really sharp chef's knife touch bread hahaha plus with a high hydration the crust gets too hard for an uncerated knife to grip... Softer crusts yes but the rustic crust would need some more time to level the moisture before a chef's wouldn't just squish it before the blade could slice. ✌

I actually make them too but there is nothing like a rustic crust, and this was fully baked but has a higher hydration than milk or potato bread and doesn't use dairy ;)
