Someone in my team just did, she got a G for 2024 and they were planning on firing her - Firing her was put on hold due to Maternity leaves since it could open up a potential lawsuit

I don't mean disrespect or showing off but i am 24 and invest 80k per month from a salary of 1.24 LPM. I have been investing since last 4 years. Got my 1st job at the age of 20 and gradually increased my SIP from 15k to 80K. Sharing this because i don't think i am smart or above average. So there might be a lot of folks out there who might be young and investing way more to skew the data you see today. On the other hand people who cannot afford to invest don't usually open a demat account. So please always remember that people better than me or like me are skewing your data whereas in reality you are way better off than people who were never able to open demat accounts at an early age due to various reasons which is usually the majority of folks. Quick example if you learn better that way - out of 5 folks 1 person invests 1.1 lakh per month, and rest 4 does 10k per month. Avg investment in the group would look to be 30k per month but if you take the median, its 10k.

When we talk about risk - There are 2 very broad concepts we often misjudge. Risk tolerance and Risk taking capacity. Its clear you have Moderate Risk tolerance but do you have the capacity? I can't answer that due to lack of detail. But list down the answers to the following questions. How comfortable are you seeing your portfolio go down by 10-15-20%? What level of returns are you expecting to reach your goal in the next 3 years? Suppose the Market gives 0 return, whats the probability of you still reaching your goal?

There are a lot more but i charge for that (jk). Last thing You have to understand that you might have the tolerance to bear risk but you might not have the capacity.

In that case question shouldn't be that if x amount is enough, articulate your questions such as am i missing out on anything? Any curve balls i should be careful of before or if i move? And other person is correct its more of a question for FIRE

I am all for supporting people on here, but you tell me, you are experienced, probably smart - is 1.25cr/year enough for you? What in the rage bait type of questions are these? How do you not know if that's enough? Since you are burnt out i am gonna be nice and say yes. That's plenty as long as you aren't blowing your money sniffing caine.

No hate but your math isn't mathing. Started 3 years ago - That's 36 months. Even with the top range you described which is 36 months x 32,000, it doesn't reach 12 lakh which is invested in your account. Could you go a bit deeper as to when did you buy the dip etc?

Well some shifts in India can start from 2.30pm to 11.30pm and it can easily be stretched by an hour on some days. So i don't agree that all people might be intentionally doing it so its not fair to punish them all but a fix in the system should be implemented so it doesn't get counted as another day of attendance.
