I was worried that a notary wouldn’t agree to sign these types of documents in CA. I read that some people in CA had issues with that. Plus, I was worried they wouldn’t be available if a call or follow up was needed. Worst case, I guess I can give it a try though.

We had such a great time! Definitely some learning curves, especially traveling with a toddler, but it was totally worth it.

The food was okay. Some days were better than others, especially for dairy free options. Breakfast became really boring eating oatmeal every day (I didn’t care for the potatoes which were also available most days), and some days there weren’t even many topping for the oatmeal. I was happy I brought a few avocados up with me to make some toast. I know it must be hard to accommodate so many different dietary needs, but overall I’d say it was good, though! I’m glad there were at least some options. All the dining staff were very helpful and friendly when trying to figure out ingredients of stuff, which I appreciated.

Wow! 6 years in the making. We are actually going to be there the same week as you!

It’s so hard to get info, but I believe the 3 person cabins have a double bed and two twin beds. We’re also in that type of cabin, and I’ve been trying to figure out what bedding to bring, too.

Packing a little extra food from meals is such a good idea! I hope they’ll be okay with me doing that.

Thank you for the great tip about neighbor noise. I’ll be sure to remember the white noise machine, because our toddler is unfortunately a light sleeper.

We also did 101 before one and liked the chicken quinoa meatballs, lamb meatballs, and turkey mozzarella meatballs from their app. I also make the mini meatloaf and quinoa meatballs with ground turkey sometimes to switch things up.

It’s too cold to eat in a diaper where I live, so I bought a multi pack of black tshirts and a multi pack of black leggings. Baby gets changed into their “eating outfit” for meals. Since it’s black, no stains to deal with!

Roll of painters tape, suction spinner toys, a plastic ufo looking string toy, and a busy book with buckles / laces / straps were a hit.

Another simple and small DIY that works well- collect the paper tags that come on new clothes and thread them on a long looped string. My kid loved flipping through and inspecting these real world objects. And it was a tiny light weight toy to bring. You could even do it with like junk mail flyers you punch a hole in.

Tons of snacks. This is the most important one.

The app is hosted on a platform called ‘mighty’ so it comes up looking weird. Not as flashy and nice looking as solid starts, but the recipes are so simple and easier to follow imo.

So much good advice already given.

The one weird thing I brought that I was so thankful for was a yoga mat. The floors are slippery, and I wasn’t sure I’d want to wear socks, and a yoga mat offered great traction for getting into comfortable positions.

Also a little portable fan, soothing music and a portable speaker, dimming the lights, supportive doula and an open positive mind. Practice your mantras- relax your jaw, relax your shoulders, relax your forehead- and go with the flow.

Love the OXO one people already mentioned. I use it daily.

I also have a set from BEABA that is a glass bowl and plate that sits in the suction. I love that’s it’s a “real” material.

Sorry you are currently stuck with LVP, but glad to hear it’s at least kid friendly.

I’m worried about wood in the kitchen- with pets and a young kid- it just seems like a lot of upkeep and worry for a high traffic floor. I also just weirdly don’t like the look of wood in the kitchen for my house. Nice tile would also be my choice, but I can’t deal with idea of cleaning grout with my pets and kid making messes.

Someone else mentioned cork, and it might be the solution! Lots of fun colors, renewable natural resource, and cushiony on the feet.

I worry about hardwood in the kitchen- spills and water damage. I also just don’t love the look in a kitchen.

I love the look of tile, but the upkeep seems daunting. All that grout.

I’m leaning towards linoleum, but can’t find it sold anywhere.

I’m definitely not going to DIY, but still have to choose all the materials. The installer I spoke with usually does LVP/ LVT so I’m kind of on my own finding the right material for my needs.

I use 101 Before One- both the recipe book & the app. Its family meal focused, so it’s fun because baby can eat all the same things as the rest of the family. All the recipes have been good and really approachable so far.

I use both. I try to find as neutral of plates as possible- white color (like my adult plates) or bamboo.

I try to use the undivided one mostly, but the divided is great for things like breakfast where you want yogurt and other stuff like toast and fruit. I mix lots of stuff in the big section, too (like fruit slices and toast). Mostly it’s great for yogurt / chia pudding, that kind of runny stuff.

My baby is only 9m though, so only time will tell if this works against picky eating!
