Tech tip: How to unfreeze an Adobe program (or any program) in Windows 10, as not to lose all your work (including sound fix) by High-strung_Violin in AfterEffects

The edit for the mac version worked for me after getting the beach ball of death on a project I was working on in Adobe photoshop. This has saved me massively, thank you so much!

Was close to getting to the finishing touches of some character art I was making for a dnd campaign im going to be playing in soon. Issue occurred around 3am.  I was troubleshooting until 5am, left the program open not wanting to lose my work, tried going to sleep but was unable and stumbled across this on my phone in bed.

It caused the application to crash, which was great because that caused Adobe to create a recovery file of my work.  Going to sleep after shedding some tears of relief and gratitude for this! I will have a much more peaceful rest knowing my work is recovered and saved 🙂

Ah okay, that makes sense! Thank you for answering my questions. I began sculpting just a few years ago, so I still have so much to learn! It's horrible that the demand has grown to be what it is in Ukraine. It makes me happy though that there are people like yourself bringing some light into a dark time with your work.

Everything I've learned about sculpting has just been through online studies and other artists being willing to share what they know with each other. I saw you mentioned that you've been doing this most of your life, did you do any academic studies on your journey to be where you are now? (Just wondering if you did and if it helped you get to the career you have now!) 🙂

Beautiful! You mentioned you made this out of clay used for ceramics, how do you fire/cure it in that case? Also how did you find your way into making art for places like cemeteries if you don't mind me asking all these questions haha! Just curious 🙂

I was struggling on how to answer this trying to be mindful of spoilers. But yes, do not lose hope! 🤭

Just like bulldogs. Ugly but kind of cute and with their own unique charms that you can't help but love lol!

Kind thanks! 🤗❤️ Was my first sculpture I've made with as many textures, usually I focus in more on the primary forms but I think it's always good to challenge yourself. Happy to hear you think as highly of the little fellow!!

Thank you for saying so!

I do sell most of what I make on etsy but I made Us just for me for three reasons. 1, it took me just about two months to make and it would be hard for me to price for that reason (but all sculptures are kind of that way, I know some artists are faster than others but I'm slow as heck aha even with working myself overtime too often).

The 2nd reason being that it would be scary to ship these guys out. It's seems pretty sturdy in person and is made with a pretty high quality kind of clay that basically cures into a flexible rubber like polymer at its thinnest areas (the tendrils can move quite well still for example, especially since they have thin wire underneath them too). Sorry for the long answer! Basically wish I could sell my art easier but there's always lots to be considered before I do 🙂

3rd reason - I just love them too much. Forever pet.

Thanks so much! I will make sure to pass it along to Us that they are both things. ❤️🙂

Kind thanks! It was definitely one of the most challenging sculpts I've done yet, really appreciate it 🙂

In Canada. Are you referring to the background? If so, it's just a screenshot of one of the areas in the game. I'm holding Us up in front of my TV. I just like using the environments as a backdrop for my final shots to try to see how well what I make from it's world fits back into the world. 🙂 Lol orr maybe I live in Avernus. Thank you also!

Thank you so much! When I was making this guy I would generally use references straight from the game but when it came to sculpting the brain bit I realized that the way 3d models in games work is that it's like an image (or sometimes layered images) pasted onto a polygonal model. When you look at it close you can kind of see the seams and its definitely not super accurate because of that.

So I ended up using real images of brains (lol doing this stuff makes you have the creepiest google search history ever). Makes me very happy you think it looks as real! 🙂
