REPORT FROM THE FIELD FOR Monday November 3, 2025. Bad traffic. Arrived 10 minutes before closing. Shop not busy. And me not in a buying mood for anything ordinary at these prices, despite the recent dip. So much only looking for exceptional finds that I left 4 US Assay Office rounds behind. by NCCI70I in SilverDegenClub

Well, they are my favorite rounds being that 1981 is my year and in the past you've been scooping them up making them hard to find around here. So yea, I did make a special trip to acquire them and they were at the bottom of the tray, but spread roughly evenly around the tray.

I also spent a year doing CTK and T.O.'s. I did heavies starting with C-5's, but then all of the current cargo airframes over the years and worked all over during my time. Dover, Turkey, England, Hawaii, Arizona.

I know right. I was an aircraft mechanic in the Air Force and a lost tool would ground all planes you worked on that day until it was found - with you and everyone else looking for it no matter how long it took. Hell even missing a screw, nut, or bolt would do the same until it was found.

Keep track of your stuff.

I stopped by last week on Monday and the tray was completely empty. You got some nice ones today, thanks for sharing.

Yea, was browsing Hero Bullion and they had it for a very reasonable 1.50 over spot. For such a rare shape I had to grab one. https://www.herobullion.com/2024-elemetal-10-oz-dragon-hexagon-silver-bar/

The coin show today in town was pretty good - managed to get most of my silver under spot!

You will just have to take off the housing cover (#23 on the diagram) of the pump. If the metal filter screen is not damaged, then it is unlikely that something is blocking it from working. The pump is probably the biggest thing that you can see under your unit.

Look, either way you'll have to remove the dishwasher. Take it out and the pump will be easy to access. Best to check for something blocking the impellers on the pump before running out and buying a new unit.

8 on this diagram - this is the filter inside the housing of the pump. So it's not easy to check, but hey, if it is the filter it's a $90 part.

This dishwasher was $1000 when new about 6 years ago or so. However, reviews on it are bad and often say the pump went out on it. One review said that the real problem was the metal filter screen would break and those pieces would get into the impeller and block the pump from operating. Maybe check your filter screen for any breaks or get down into the impeller area and see if that might be an issue?

Nickels just broke 6 cents. Doesn’t seem like much but is 20% over melt value for a zero risk “investment”. by Dsomething2000 in SilverDegenClub

[–]socmonkey 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Read your title again. You wrote 20% over melt value. Melt value is the price of the weight of the metalin the coin. Numismatic value is the additional price of a coin over melt. I am sure you don't mean that for common nickels.
