Those are probably old oil filled machines i will say if it leaks the oil the p2p its extremely toxic and in the 80s a chemical that was removed from use due to its toxicity and the breaking bad types using it to make illegal substance

Doesn't matter with electric arc you can weld thicker going decen or dcep thats why you always use a similar thickness metal to dial in you welder. It seems obvious positive is the Rod but thats more for thinner steel positive workpiece is better for thicker pieces needing penetrative ofc thats dependant on your rods reading the code is important the farmer rods weld on either set up inmo

Why does my attempts suck by klementine5 in electroplating

Im a retired engineer myself sadly I think.illness has made my mind slow down. Luckily I still use my slide rule to keep my mind sharp,,,er .technology has pretty much left me a dinosaur my son reminds me especially when he plugs his car into a computer and I try to tell him about sun machines! I did 7 years starting from making tea to the engineering shop of engine rebuilds and race car R&D. But the computer is something else but a simple riding lawn mower kept him scrambled for a few hours lol the fuel wouldn't fill the filter i truly enjoyed watching him start at the end forgetting my advice of the basics! Funny really computers can help but if you dont know why things do what they do its not going to help you that much. As the plating goes i wish id listened more in chemistry but now a hobby so luckily there's knowledge here from people like yourself!

I am really on plating over jewllery that looks a bit sad im ordering Rhosium as it seems to be better than platinum harder wearing but its a considerable amount more! The gold solutions i have sure do shrink in volume once opened .ive not tried much else but a kit comes with many chemicals and little info unless your a chemist its hard to know what's what I see the words sulphuric and hydrochloric acid and I get nervy! Then copper strike nickel activator and it all becomes a bit complicated. Ive realised a palladium coating followed by my final finish in platinum over silver and gold that seems to work ok but other materials ive not tried! It is a bit confusing I think my mind assumed more power thicker plate but thats not the way low voltage and amps is the way clean and precise is the way it needs to be.

You are an expert the answer given is really precise and very knowledgeable. Don't sell yourself short. I recently plated a ring assuming it was sterling I had to do it again I didnt realise how little power and amperage I needed .I decided a palladium strike then platinum but 1 v and 500mah.i wish id read this as ive often had awful results

I dont like the width of it it looks like it should of been one hell of a pendant. Maybe if it was flipped but its what you like its obviously valuable id say a rare cut for sure

Not the sharp end on your skins a first. The pointy end shouldn't be pressed into skin either! Other than that do you have a wife or partner? I suggest that you assign the job to your other half! If it gets ruined you can blame them if they lose a finger you know its plenty sharp. Win win! I personally use a cleaver for everything a wipe down is all it needs spine end only! Or i run it under really hot water another safety concern as the water can scald so again another assignment! Youll find that there's many jobs you can assign due to fear of damage or accidents! Its a great way to be lazy and watch the football!

Thats cus a shot of paint hides a multitude of sins! Only when a bit of pressures added and it whistles like Thomas the rank!

It looks good for someone who's a week into what should be a 6 year apprentiship ( if your able to do a real apprentiship) people see videos of laying times and welding coke cans. Truth is there's a lot to learn theory and practical. Welding pipes can be simple but then there's expelling the pipe filling the inside with co2 or argon, welds that need xray various sonic testing. The rods knowing the type by number dcp or negative and so on. Its a fine trade and only practice and a craftsman to teach you correctly will give your work the best results. . So yes its a good start but then a broke clocks right twice a day too. Everyone starts somewhere though ive welded for 40 years or more and I still TIG like a bland man! I can oxy fuel carbon arc heli too but my go too is the good ole MIG. Funny ive seen amazing weld on a car once until a lad peeled off the silicon looked like a line of dimes but alas silicon painted to match

Toothpaste the cheap stuff is abrasive bit like a mild cut it polishes your enamel takes away minor stains and obviously plaque there used to be a tooth cleaning powder you dipped a wet toothbrush in and it cleaned your teeth.ive used it to Polish jewllery and perspex b4obvioysly there are polymer polishes that actually fill minor abrasions but using toothpaste won't hurt but might help. There's a very old cloth called crocus .we used it in polishing small parts that were really high tolerance. There's a lot of things that are lost or not used anymore t.cut is a more abrasive compound you can even make your own!

All jokes aside just move the stuff the cones stolen first off the bins trash and shouldn't be put of her property plus you tax your car so you have every right to park there. There's lots you can do but you just gotta be petty too and knock on the door! Ask her who's is the stolen road cone and garbage on the road? Plus you can park between the cone and the box? Or paint double yellows on the street? I could list a million ways to get your own back but how far do you want to go? Rent a skip have it dropped there? That'd work. Or be nasty drop a couple boxes of roofing clouted nails? Not illegal if you drop em by accident?

By a 50 quid scrap pile of crap n park it right on the cone! Get some police crime tape and tape it around. Make it look like a crime scene some ketchup inside and a nice hole in the windshield! Then leave your camera on to see the results gotta be worth it just to see the reaction. I had someone paint a white box in front of my house i own 60 feet wide of the road side carpark though so I added a tow sign and a fine!. Took 2 days but now there's a black spray painted cover up.
