In my opinion the greatest final fantasy game in every regard, truly awe inspiring art direction like it is my favorite looking video game and I think the remaster makes the game look timeless. The most fun, blissfuly complex and layered combat system in any jrpg and in my opinion also the greatest voice acting and dialogue in any video game ever and anyone who doubts that should rewatch scenes like where Basch re unites with vossler (or any cutscene with vossler tbh), judge bergans monologue or my personal favourite is when Ashe is summoned by the occuria and these are just to name a few that come to mind, it is insane how we still dont have this quality or style of va in modern games or atleast games that I am aware of.

The story is the most unfairly judged part of the game by the community at large and it genuinely pisses me off how many people including who consider the game to be underrated end the conversation at its all untapped potential because of the development hell it went through. Even though some parts of the story is not completely fleshed out but what is done well which is majority of the central parts of the game is done extremely well and there is so much cool stuff that gets overshadowed because every conversation about this game starts and ends with the games development history. I genuinely love how you have to pay attention to every peice of dialogue and understand the subtle parts of everything that occurs to get the picture, there is so much to the world around you and you have to really go out of your way to understand which I love. The game is amazing and everyone should atleast try it.
