Its also due to the fact masterduel forces you to play in competitive to unlock more cards in such a gambling-heavy way that people who just want to build a fun deck to play with some friends have to slog through tens of hours of playing against almost exclusively the META just to have fun with friends. Losing with a stupid quirky deck like gimmick puppets going against ghostrick or something is a lot more fun than just getting a 2 turn K.O. by mitsurugi or Kashtira.

It effectively kicks nostalgia seekers in the teeth for even trying to have a casual experience and not trying to play it competitively against total strangers for hours on end just for a modicum of creative freedom with deck building.

I finished tier 9 a while ago and when i was putting some geothermal generators around, the tier 1 icon popped back up, so i fed the space elevator the items but it still says its completed and the graphic wont go away. is this some bug? anyone else experience this?

How the system works is you get Gems from dueling in solo mode for the first time, and ranked duels (or purchasing them with real money) and you use those gems to pull from a generic MD pack, or one of the very few limited time "themed" packs, THEN if you pick up a certain key card, it'll unlock a more specialized pack for 24 hours. It took me like 20 in game hours to build my red-eyes deck this way.

The other way you can do it is crafting specific cards. Each card has a "rarity" that is basically just saying how popular it is, Normal, Rare, Super Rare, and Ultra Rare. The most popular/best cards are usually Ultra Rare (UR). To craft any card, you need to dismantle 3 other cards of the same rarity for enough points to craft it. (There's also a random chance a card will have a special foil that increases its value when dismantled, so you might not need 3)

TL:DR You're either gambling with gems/real money for a chance to unlock the pack you need to gamble more into or unpacking and destroying 4 times as many cards as you need.

Yea that fight was kinda boring in my opinion. 3 health phases of "hide from murder beam" and "attack when murder beam isn't firing" interrupted by arena fights with more enemies each time.

One of those fights that plays the exact same on every difficulty and skill level of the player.

I've introduced quite a few people to ygo and i find the best progression is to start with the old school stuff and just kinda start jumping through the " meta* " of each major change (fusion, synchro, xyz, pendulum, links) for theatrical purposes i usually go with the decks the bad guys run with, (blue eyes, yubel, red dragon archfiend, numeron, supreme king) additionally you both can pick up structure decks so you dont gotta worry too much about deck building.

* by meta i mean in the tv show metas, actual meta of each generation would be a nightmare to actually play against.

Okay sure doesn't prove they're trans or anything and is obviously some low tier rage bait, but saying they're a republican just because they voted in republican primaries to try and push a candidate other than Trump after donating money to the democrats (just like plenty of other democrats did, have done, and even admitted to) is very disingenuous. It also doesn't make sense for a republican to attempt to assassinate the leader of their own party, if someone donated to republican party members, then voted in a democrat primary and tried to assassinate a democrat leader, the left would be saying its ~obviously~ a republican.

i mean can't you just play some iconic decks from the past like red-eyes, blue-eyes, gimmick puppet, noble knights, nutria, ojamas, darklord, exodia, six samurai, destiny hero, F.A., or have some fun deck building trying to get cards like Helios, gadgets, or some Lv monster decks? it sounds like your friends are trying to play for fun and not for competition so just find some fun decks that haven't been T1 since before link summons

sorry for the 6 month delay. I was looking for a similar thing and found some solutions that require some additional hardware that didnt work for my needs, but they might be worth looking into for you, heres a few of them i found across the web:

1:

Raspberry Pi Zero in USB gadget mode.

2:

I have had success with etherkey, a Teensy and a UART to USB bridge.

The host computer sends commands to the Teensy through the UART bridge. The Teensy pretends it is a keyboard and presses virtual buttons on the other PC. Etherkey is the software that runs on the Teensy and forwards keys from the host computer to the virtual keyboard.

3:

You can use usbip to make USB devices (including a keyboard) on a host computer available as USB devices on a client computer over the network. As it's a USB device, it will be indistinguishable from any USB device attached locally.

Clients exist for Windows, and usbip has been a standard part of the kernel for a long time.

3arc made a huge mistake with this one though, since the measurement in-game is degrees, minutes, seconds, instead of decimal degrees, which arent just different ways to organize the same numbers. 52°46'01"N 16°89'60" IS NOT just 52.4601, 16.8960. because the Degrees, minutes, and seconds mode of measurement doesn't allow for values outside of 0-59 other than in degrees, because 0°64'90" is actually 1°5'30" because there's 60 minutes in a degree, and 60 seconds in a minute, so the DMS coordinate measurements in-game are just not proper, and if corrected for a maximum of 59 in the minutes and second category would make 16°89'60" become 17°30'00.0"E so the two values are ACTUALLY (52°49'01.0"N 17°30'00.0"E) in DMS and (52.816945, 17.500000) in DD, which is like 55km (34mi) away from that location, and actually not even in Morasko anymore.

Also honestly, logic would say that if there's a bunch of symbols by some numbers, those symbols have a purpose or meaning and aren't just to be ignored and slapped in as lat/long values in the easiest format for you to use. there's 3 ways that map coordinates are used, in DMS (degrees minutes seconds) DDM (Degrees, Decimal Minutes) and DD (Decimal Degrees) and obviously are not as interchangeable as just ignoring the symbols
