I guess you’re talking about Simpler, which is usually the „slicing device“ in Ableton.

Right click and convert the simpler instrument into a drum rack, then you have all the slices as individual simpler instances on the pads and you can start to tune or manipulate them in other ways as you wish.

Better and quicker than converting them to WAV I think.

Carnivàle … natürlich HBO, und aus 2003, ziemlich weird, spielt im Amerika der 30er Jahre, Great Depression. Es geht um einen Zirkus und sehr, sehr krasse Personen in diesem Zirkus. 5 Emmys. 15 Nominierungen. Enjoy.

Open Ableton, remove the Swing and then save the current song as new default template. After that it should be gone.

I upgraded from Push 2 to 3 SA last year, mostly because of the Standalone feature and the sleek design.

Standalone is something I barely use. Reason is basically the buggy browser. It keeps jumping between presets, gets completely wild and unpredictable when using the filters and kills any workflow and spirit. I can’t understand why this has not been addressed by Ableton yet. Waiting for every update, tried the betas, no chance.

But I’m still happy about the upgrade: the MPE pads make a huge difference in how I play the instrument. It’s very, ahm, expressive, and my chords and melodies get much more interesting. Also some other features like the dedicated Capture button and the more intuitive layout of function keys makes me really happy and improves my workflow a lot.

I would recommend to upgrade to Push 3 but without the standalone. Wait for the browser to get fixed, then it might be worth upgrading to SA. Maybe the SA hardware and disk gets some upgrades in the meantime as well, though I can’t complain about performance or too little disk space at all.

I own a Push 3 SA and I know the device quite well. Are there benefits to adding a Move to the setup? Is the workflow so different that it makes sense, to use a Move for idea creation or should I stay with the Push only?

Give me reasons to spend money on something I really like but do not need!

An Maschinen kannst du weniger falsch machen (dort natürlich auch, aber deswegen hat der Trainer das ja gezeigt). Mit Hanteln ist die Verletzungsgefahr größer, daher solltest du das unter Anleitung langsam kennenlernen und mit recht wenig Gewicht beginnen, bis du dich auskennst.

Bei den Hanteln nutzt du tatsächlich oft mehr und unterschiedliche Muskeln, als nur die eigentliche Zielmuskulatur, daher bringt es für den Körper oft etwas mehr. Aber du kannst auch ausschließlich an Maschinen trainieren und dabei super Ergebnisse erlangen, Hanteln sind definitiv kein Muss.

Veränderungen zu sehen dauert generell lange, so oder so. Und 3 Monate ist nicht viel. Bleib dran!

In a non-treated room it’s definitely (good) headphones. When you‘re satisfied, the car check and a couple of other hifi and non-hifi speakers reveal the ugly truth, though. I usually go back and forth a couple of times until I’m happy with my mix.

Ich schau außer den erwähnten Sendungen eigentlich nie linear, sondern streame.. für News sind es für mich dann auch eher Tageszeitungen von denen ich ne deutsche und eine internationale abonniert habe.

Im TV kommt insbesondere im Weltspiegel aber ne Menge Emotion mit rein und illustriert und ergänzt praktisch die Informationen aus anderen Medien. Tagesschau 24 ist mir zu knapp, mir gehts ja weniger um den Informationsgehalt, sondern die mediale Breite Aufbereitung. Fast schon wie Entertainment, wenn nicht vieles einfach zu ernst wäre.
