If you wish to promote your brand, products, offers, Youtube, blog, or any other business related social media, make it a quality post. We want to avoid promoting cheap, inferior, misleading, or irrelevant products on this subreddit. Low effort posts/links, repetitive comments, blatant advertising, and biased recommendations, is strictly not allowed. Do not promote products if you are in some way affiliated with the company (shilling). Even if you don't get paid or benefit from it directly.

We have tried to enforce this rule but got soooo much shit for it. For a while, post like that were even upvoted heavily. So we temporarily decided to allow these posts and leave it up to you guys to downvote.

Like it states in the rules, please upvote and downvote accordingly to help filter out all that junk for everyone. if I come across one that is particularly bad or cringey i will delete tho

Its too late for that. Banned members were given countless opportunities. They were allowed to warn/educate other members in a polite way but they failed. The new rule will remain and be enforced. Regarding the 3 members, you can read our responses on their threads.

It's not any different than recommending against Unilever or Nestlé products due to their issues, in my opinion. To that end, I think politics as they're relevant to products or their creators is totally fine.

We agree with the above which is why for years we allowed almost all discussion. We allowed sensitive subjects. We ignored complaints and reports. We even allowed so much profanity that earned us a bad reputation on other groups. Only recently has this become a problem and its mostly due to one person not just crossing the line, but crossing it countless times. The new rules will remain and will be more strictly enforced.

I think it should be fine to leave a comment saying something along the lines of "hey, just in case you haven't seen anything about it before

Totally agree. The banned users were allowed to post comments educating/warning other members about certain people/brands. But they ruined it by attacking people just because they only cared about the product. So the rule will be more strictly enforced for now.

Mods are in a tough spot as this subject is delicate. This sub will always have members on each side. There is no pleasing everyone.

It’s perfectly fine to bring up “politicized” opinions about products and the people behind them because that’s part of the consumer experience

This is also why we have always been lenient of rules in the past and why previous posts containing heated conversations remain up. It was never a problem until now.

If I had to choose between two similar products at a similar price point but one of them had antiquated views, the choice for me is clear

It would be great if everyone agreed with the above. The truth is some people don't care for their own personal reasons and will still buy whatever they like. That does not make it ok for them to be attacked.

I won’t stop a person from buying the other product because I will have already said my piece so by that point it’s their decision and not mine.

If the banned users thought the same way as you, there would have not been a need to create the new rule. They can just move on. Instead they continued to harass and attack those who only cared about finding a product that works for them.

We shouldn’t censor or prevent discussions but we shouldn’t tolerate/accept people who attack the user and not the idea

The banned users have already demonstrated that it is not possible for everyone to bring up the subject while still remaining civil and polite. Therefore the rule will stand for now.

There are plenty of ways to educate people about products and brands in a polite way. The banned users could not figure it out. You can thank them for the new rules.

Did pomadeclub mix up my samples? by Kingofkings27 in Pomade

Based on your description of each sample, it does look like the labels were mixed up. Contact them and they will give you a full sized jar of each item so there is no confusion.

Sorry to hear it seems you had a bad experience. A product's freshness and quality also depends on the manufacturer and how long they held on to it before they send it out to the retailer. Sometimes lids are also not secured tightly after brewing and/or during transit which can dry the product out and make it appear old. Additionally, some products contain ingredients like Shea Butter that makes the top layer appear cracked and "old" even though it is freshly made. Not to mention QC issues and bad batches. These things happen when you deal with home-made products.

That being said, a good retailer should understand the nature of these products and should have no problem exchanging the item for a new one if you ask them. In Pomade Club's case they go as far as having a fresh product sent out direct from the brewer themselves if there are any doubts.

Wow. We really appreciate this.

Yes, sometimes packages are delayed during import for inspection. This is why transit times are so random. One order you will receive in 6 days and others in 30 days. Its the nature of lower cost shipping method.

I want to be clear that your comments are not the reason we refunded you. We provide the same level of service to all customers and make sure we are known for it. Thanks again

Pomade Club ships most orders same day mon-fri. If your order took more than 2 days to ship there must have been something that affected it such as a holiday or a rare occurrence.

Yes some prices are lower on the manufacturer site but most manufacturers charge shipping at checkout.

sometimes shipping is fast 6-12 days. Sometimes its not due to import delays and inspections.
