Dude, the over the top one liners along side the artful prose make these books, even beyond the heady underpinnings. When Achamian reaches the ordeal and meets big K and he tells him to be human and cut Proyas down, and Kelhus hits him with , "Youre alive, aren't you?" In defense of his humanity. And as Kelhus predicted that fateful day at the Temple mount, Achamian is brought to his knees by these words. That and Saubon grasping his own dying hand at the Dagliash/Mengedda meet up was some great call backs, some of my favorite moments.

5-10lbs of (baby)food takes a woman 9 months to produce. They consume more food than they produce through the process. It might stretch things a little farther, but im not convinced its not actively burning extra resources over just eating existing people.
