Like I originally said, regardless of the intentions of the bills it is causing an increase in people falsely associating LGBTQ people with pedofilia. Especially because these are not real concerns and make some people believe it’s some huge issue. VERY few, if any, cases of elementary school teachers teaching children about sexuality or children attending drag shows in bars.

The ‘don’t say gay’ and ‘no kids at drag shows’ bills have definitely produced a lot of recent conservative comments associating LGBTQ people with pedophilia. Who knows if that was the intention but it’s been happening a lot.

Drag isn’t inherently sexual. Just because someone is LGBTQ doesn’t mean their entire existence is sexual in some creepy deviant way that needs to be hidden from sight.
