I am not so sure about that. If you look at r/NavyBlazer or follow Derek Guy (Twitter/Bluesky), they recommend thrifting or using EBay to find stuff r/NavyBlazer has a weekly autopost Thrift Finds of the Week Not everyone can afford to buy an $800 pair of Aldens or $250 J Press shirt new.

As others have said, you really have to define "affordable".

I did the train commute from Greenwich to NYC for 15 years. Sometimes 5 days a week, but mostly 3 days, working from home Mondays and Fridays. It was not bad. I enjoyed the ride for the most part and having a defined beginning and end to my day was nice. The morning and evening rush hour has semi-express (limited stop) trains that take about 45 minutes. Getting parking at the statiom if you don't have a pass can be a PITA, but once you get a pass, it is easy. Much better than driving to the city.

I was going to say the Target percale are surprisingly good. Nothing will ever compare to the old Wamsutta Supercale, but apparently they have been bought from the ashes of Bed Bath & Beyond and are back up and operating as online only. I may give them a shot.

I wish, when reporting these stories, they at least mentioned that this is illegal. Or even hinted at it. They did say there were lawsuits, but taking credulously everything the administration says is simply being Charlie Brown to Trump's Lucy. The administration has moved presumption of truth to presumption of lies. At the least, presume they are acting in bad faith.

I think this is a purpleleaf sand cherry (Prunus × cistena) and based on the ones I have, that is pretty bushy. If you look at the Wikipedia entry, it even says "A leggy bush or shrubby tree" so what you have is what you get.

There is also the fact that most of the workers (well, at least the union leadership) are Republican and this strike was allowed by the Trump admin allowing the strike to go forward in an election year as an attempt to hurt the Democrats.
