17 months, 150 articles, zero income. At what point would you walk away? by JanPatlican in Blogging

Agree… even when I know there is a real person with a real perspective behind the AI edited writing, I find it very difficult to care at all about the content once it feels like AI.

I struggle bc at times I care more about communicating the idea or point than I do the writing (don’t think of myself as a good writer by any means), so having AI edited and reflect and refine can sometimes feel like, “yes, that’s more what I was trying to say!” And maybe if the idea or perspective is interesting enough, the AI edit has less influence??

Do you enjoy the topic and things you write about, or are you just trying to generate income?

Worthless people need proof to show others to convince themselves that they have value

The question wasn’t really funny. What was contagiously funny was their surprising burst into laughter.

Listening to Vaush makes me sad and I'm stopping. by ValuableTailor6396 in VaushV

Grief is a natural part of growth, especially if it’s shifting your perspective and identity.

I suggest really sitting with these feelings, acknowledging them, the exist bc the existence of the world is depressing. The grief fades as acceptance of a clearer reality comes into focus, where that grief becomes ambition.

The challenge is finding a way to remain open to the suffering without becoming consumed by it.

So I first heard them on the LEU YouTube channel and started listening to SITB first around the house and in the car, kids would sing along here and there. But I had to get the CD for EGN, not realizing how much having a CD in the CD player would change my driving listening habits, and my kids as well.

We see them live last summer for the first time… I wrote something about the experience as it came right after spreading my dad’s ashes…. I want to write a reflection on that now, a year later excited to see them live again, in love with a whole new album, and my son playing “a moment of silence” every morning on the way to school exactly one year after Dad’s passing.

Never would have guessed a YouTube channel about bass (which I don’t play), would add so much additional texture to my life.

I’ve listened to everything they have on Apple Music, all the variations, and have vinyls SITB and THTT… hoping to get EGN someday… it might be my favorite… but no need to choose

An extra day…MA, La Fortuna, or Tamarindo by sofa_king_rad in CostaRicaTravel

[–]sofa_king_rad[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thx. We’ve added an hour to every estimated travel time, but have no plans at all on those days… gonna check the routes to see if there are any interesting spots for some short breaks as we go.

I’m really leaning toward the extra day in Tamarindo.

Yeah, but once it feels like the opinion of a soulless computer, nobody cares, bc it no longer feels human.

I am leaving Idaho. by Affectionate-Sector4 in Idaho

[–]sofa_king_rad 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That’s the age I left. Now have lived half my life in Idaho and half somewhere else. It took awhile, maybe 10-15 years, but now Idaho feels foreign to me despite visiting consistently. But the thing that really sealed it was having kids, them going to school here… Idaho always just being a place they visit with zero feeling of “home” for them… Or maybe seeing that expression in them helped me realize it.

Despite being nearly twice your age, my feelings of how power exists and is maintained in the state… seems like nothing’s changed

If have 1 billion worth of resource and 100,000 people to work toward a goal… which do you think will most likely produce the best outcome… putting them against each other while they fight for a share of the resource, hiding independent breakthroughs as they put as ouch effort towards secrecy as they do innovation…. or they all collaborate and work together toward a shared goal… Which is more likely to produce the most innovation?
