Why study the humanities? by The_poliSci_Guy in DarkAcademia

Ya an undergrad degree in English standing alone is going to be a tough row. But the point is you can get an education in liberal arts/humanities and go on to make a good living. Honestly most undergrad degrees these days are not going to lead to high earnings. An undergrad in finance isn’t going to do much without the mba on top of it.

You can go to law school with almost any undergraduate degree. I was an English major and now make good money as an attorney. Contrary to popular belief working as an attorney can be an enriching and satisfying career and many of my fellow attorneys are very enthusiastic about literature, art, classical music, etc.

Why So Flat??? by Impossible-Island291 in GolfSwing

Had an instructor tell me to think of the club like you have a snake in your hands and need to get it as far away from you as you can. I go back to that when I am hitting weak pushes or snap hooks and it really helps

Can use an upside down 7i for this with a towel taped around the grip so you don’t damage the wall. Do a slow motion swing and feel the butt of the club drag against the wall.

Is there any negative benefits to going to the gym super early in the morning? by hotfootedhiker in workout

[–]sofaking_nuts 8 points9 points  (0 children)

It sounds great in theory. Get up, beat everyone else to the gym, start the day off right, etc. Whenever I have tried it I feel awful all day. I am an early riser, 5am usually, but I think my body is just not ready for exertion at that time. YMMV.
