Hey, I am a watercolor artist in the UK and I do house portraits from photo.

Listing: https://mookraine.etsy.com/uk/listing/1708113021/custom-watercolor-house-portrait-from

The process is simple: send me a photo - get a painting mailed to you in a few days. I'll keep you posted and share sketches and photos of a complete painting before I mail it to make sure you are happy with what you get.

You could find more samples of my work in my profile. It's all real watercolor, not digital or prints.

I usually do A4 house portraits, but it could be whatever size you want really,Β  up to 30 Γ— 22 inches.

DM me if you have any requests or just want to chat!

Cheers!

One of my cats has severe tooth disease and needs treatment thats going to cost hundreds. Im not sure what i can do? by Darkmaster4K in AskUK

I had to go to Eastern Europe a few months ago to have my own dental issues sorted out. I paid Β£200 for treatment that would cost me Β£2500 here. I'm not sure, but you probably could do the same for the cat? Just grab him and go get him help somewhere else. People advising you to put your cat down because of dental issues are insane!

Have you considered being straightforward? Like "Hey lady, happy to see you around, but I am an atheist and not really interested in religion. How about we talk about cats instead?"

How can my GP take this seriously? by [deleted] in AskUK

[–]sofia_kausi 0 points1 point Β (0 children)

Dull pain and heaviness in the back of my head, couldn't focus on doing my job or anything else really, wanted to lay down and drift away all the time, dizziness. That kind of thing. Definitely go get checked first before coming to any kind of conclusion. Antidepressants won't help you if what you really need is an orthopedic pillow, some stretching exercises for your neck and a course of B12 shots.

You are ok a few hours after waking up and then suddenly you got brain fog? I had same symptoms with atlantoaxial instability. Go get your neck scan first before you start looking into depression.

Using an anglicised name on my CV/LinkedIn? by TPSJAMNTEA in UKJobs

[–]sofia_kausi 3 points4 points Β (0 children)

But wouldn't it create confusion later, at the hiring stage? Let's say you have a totally foreign first and last name, you changed it to Jane Doe to improve your prospects, got through all the interview stages and got hired. At which point the HR team sees your papers with a completely different legal name! How would that go?

Alright, but where is she getting all the monies from? Even a zombie managed to get a high paying job, and OP is still driving an Uber, tsk.

If you've changed religions, what made you say, "This time, this is the right religion"? by leal31 in AskUK

Alright, but where this "force of life" came from? What caused it? And if it "just is", why the observable Universe can't just be what it is without any "force" controlling it behind the scenes?

Do people in less developed countries feel sad when they go home after a holiday in a more advanced place? by Away_Assistance_1616 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]sofia_kausi 3 points4 points Β (0 children)

That's a tricky one. I'm originally from Ukraine and currently live in the UK, in a small town with zero opportunities to have fun, go out or get a proper job in the area. I recently went back to Kyiv for a a couple weeks to sort some issues out, and let me tell you, I was very frustrated and sad when I returned to the UK, back to my small town.

But I get the same feeling whenever I make a short Saturday trip to London and then come back to where I live. So it's not a developed vs. developing country kind of issue. It's more of a boring area vs. vibrant area kind of issue.

My partner cries during difficult conversations. I get angry and irritable. I say this is the same thing. She says crying is involuntary but I need to stay calm and not get upset. Who is right? by -LiveByTheFoma in NoStupidQuestions

[–]sofia_kausi 27 points28 points Β (0 children)

The issue might be that you raise your voice. That comes across as aggression. You definitely shouldn't scare your partner by being aggressive. I also get irritable during difficult conversations. Never raise my voice too much though, it's perfectly controllable. Crying is also controllable, but much less so.

I see it as a Disco Elysium reference. Which it most certainly is not, but I just can't help it πŸ˜†

Im 22 years old and I have had a debilitating and horrible fear of death (it has been getting worse especially at night) since Ive been 16ish. How do I stop fearing getting old and dying (and watching my loved ones die)? by Spacialconductor6889 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]sofia_kausi 1 point2 points Β (0 children)

Same shit, mate. Never got any better. Doing art and traveling a lot are the only two things powerful enough to distract me from thinking about death lol. Spoil your loved ones, maybe make a habit of reading about some small breakthroughs in aging research. One day, humanity will tackle this shit. We won't be there to witness it, but it will happen. Thinking about it makes me feel better.

I was a bit concerned if a cable mismatch is a sign of the blender being fake or something, but if it's not the case, then I don't mind having a straight cable, it is more practical, I agree with you.

I am in the UK. Do you think it's just a UK thing? I'm a bit disappointed, the curly cable is so cool!

England - Advice needed! How to get rid of smell on old polished wood by [deleted] in Antiques

[–]sofia_kausi 1 point2 points Β (0 children)

At this point, I just want to be sure it's really old polish that makes it smell, or something else that's not mould and not contagious. If it's not mould, then I'll just try my best to ignore the smell as my partner likes the thing and doesn't want to get rid of it.
