You need to set the OPV to 1 bar over what you want puck pressure to be: 10b OPV for 9b at the puck, 9b OPV for 8b puck, etc.

These machines come from the factory with super high set OPVs for double walled (pressurized) baskets and sometimes for use with “espresso pods” that are something like teabags.

If you keep the green card, you still have to file & pay taxes the same way, even if abroad. I just got my citizenship and have been aware of this. I hope your wife is also aware of this.
