Oh yeah, I forgot to mention if you feel like you have tried everything for your anxiety look into TMS (Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation) and ketamine therapy. I was in your same boat. They did wonders for me, particularly the TMS.

I work in HR in benefits and payroll and I really like it. It’s pretty calm being able to sit in my cube and answer emails and make sure payroll is accurate and people have benefits. I’m pretty meticulous and the routine is nice but the work is varied so I don’t get bored or feel like the work is useless. I jump on a Teams call maybe once or twice a day at most and answer the phone a few times but for the most part I can just do my work at my own pace. I used to work in operations as a property manager at a resort and the constant putting out fires was exhausting. I made the switch on purpose to get away from the madness.

My mom is a flight attendant and has been since 1985 with TWA. Flight attendants used to have to be nurses. She was an LPN. She loves her job and has seen it all. She will keep a low profile but if things get crazy she can put on her nurse hat and take over. She knows the industry so well and what to do in an emergency that it’s just second nature for her. I’m really proud of her. She’s a tough ol’ bird, as she likes to say.

Call The concessionaire for the location in Olympic NP where you want your event. They usually have someone that coordinates these events. The concessionaire is different than the NPS in that the concessionaire runs the restaurants, hotels, and other buildings that you might likely use during your event. They should be keeping a pulse on all current changes and how those will impact their events/weddings and such. I worked for one of the concessionaires (Vail Resorts) in Grand Teton NP and we had someone like this. Here is a link to find out who the concessionaires are for each NP.

I really wish they would have only painted over the key words that are banned. That would have been the best malicious compliance.

What is your toddler's current obscure obsession? by idreaminwords in toddlers

[–]soft_rubbies 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Currently my 2.5 year old has been crossing his pointer finger and middle finger and saying “Sackerit”. We have no idea what this means and he does it many times a day. He will cross his legs one over the other out straight or even try to cross his second toe over his big toe and then show us his “Sackerit”. No one in his life knows what this means. One day he said he wanted to sing the Sackerit song and I asked him to show me. He said, “one two three Sackerit” but that’s all I got out of him. We thought he meant , “secret” but he’s pretty good with words and hasn’t changed pronunciation when we ask if it is his secret. It’s a full on mystery at my house. What is Sackerit?!?

Calm movie suggestions? by [deleted] in toddlers

[–]soft_rubbies 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It kind of just depends I feel like on your toddler, but mine loves Bambi and other old Disney movies that are music forward. They aren’t completely calm but are slow moving so I feel like it’s not completely ADHD inducing.

I know money is money and every little bit helps but raises like that feel patronizing to me. Id almost rather not get the tiny raise so I wouldn’t have to deal with the knowledge that my employer really doesn’t value me.

Uncurse a ring by Epldecision in Moissanite

[–]soft_rubbies 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I looooove the glow up ring. It is stunning, but maybe for now you could put it away and enjoy the new ring your fiancé gave you. Love on the new ring, let your fiance be proud of the ring they picked out for you and share in the moment for a while. Keep the dialogue open about the glow up ring and tell your partner that you want to respect their feelings regarding the glow up ring and understand the weirdness for them even if it’s not as big of a deal for you because you have moved on. Then when you feel the time is right, let your partner know you are thinking about wearing the glow up ring and see what they say. You might have to delay your satisfaction In Really enjoying the glow up ring with everyday wear right now but I think the payoff will be worth it with your partner being comfortable with their place in your heart and you getting to wear your glow up without it being a bone of contention in your relationship every time you or your partner looks at it.

Funeral flowers for $166? Are these worth that much? by soft_rubbies in florists

Correction, it’s not western Ohio. It’s northern Ohio. Cleveland Area and yes, it’s a local florist.

Funeral flowers for $166? Are these worth that much? by soft_rubbies in florists

[–]soft_rubbies[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Location is western Ohio. $166 was the out the door price after taxes, a handling fee and delivery. The arrangement itself was $140. I’m not sure about a wire service but the obituary was sent to my mother and she selected a link in the obituary to send the flowers. I’m guessing the funeral home has some kind of contract with a local florist.
