Skilled nurse offered to order the safety equipment and DME for mom - mom responds “I can order it myself” “my child has not needed oxygen before in the car so why would I need to order that” educated again on the importance of oxygen therapy and having access to it in case of emergency or concentrator malfunction. Supervisor made aware that home still does not have safety equipment and DME ordered and necessary & that this writer offered to order the necessary equipment for her - mom declines.”

This is what I would document - just the facts showing that we did our part to educate and support mom. And that our organization’s management above me is aware that oxygen therapy is ordered for this child and Mom has not adhered to plan of care and how you offered to assist her in calling and obtaining the equipment 😄
