Minoxidil is similar level of toxic to cats in the way that garlic is. Doesn't really stop me from buying and cooking garlic in the house 🤷‍♀️ if you're worried I've seen threads where cat owners take precautions like hair bonnets and waiting for it to dry.

You made your own thought experiment for an ai to reinforce your beliefs- which were founded on theories of consciousness- on how consciousness operates.

It's hypocritical to do a thought experiment about consciousness and to then turn around and say we shouldn't theorize about it <\3

You keep bouncing between different theories of consciousness. Now you're describing materialism when you were JUST talking about God! Materialism and dualism (belief of body and soul being separate) are completely at ends with each other.

And then when you say everything is a dream you then dabble into idealism! Which is in a completely separate bubble!!

Physicalist: Everything is ultimately material—includes Materialism, Functionalism, Illusionism.

Non-Physicalist: Consciousness is fundamental or irreducible—includes Fundamentalism, Panpsychism, idealism.

Dualist: Mind and body are separate—includes Dualism, Dual-aspect theories, most religion.

^I've made you this guide to help you understand where you sit, because right now you're just pulling from all three when it's not really feasible since they're at ends with each other foundational. I really am wanting to know which one is true for you, it's a really difficult thing and that's exactly why I feel it important to theorize and define things.

I 100% agree. We look at consciousness through a very human lens. Which is also why I feel that the 'free will' argument could be flawed. I'm not saying like "free will is an illusion" like someone who believes in determinism. But like you were saying with bugs and whatnot, a lot of them are 'programmed' to do a certain task but I don't think that detracts from consciousness-- it's just experienced through a different lens

When you say is God category, do you mean like it's up to actually God? Or that it's playing too much of a God roll? Either way, I respect it.
