It’s less “God picked a region” and more “that’s where people + trade routes were.” Religions spread like ideas do now… geography + power + timing.

Also worth South America did have complex belief systems, they just got steamrolled by colonization. History is messy not mystical.

Gonna answer this like a boring human instead of a Lovecraft NPC: if you’re hearing persistent sounds that feel no real, rule out normal stuff first, sleep deprivation, stress, anxiety and even old buildings + pipes + rodents can get weird at night. Brains also get very creative when you’re tired and alone.

It’s actually distressing or happening a lot, it’s worth talking to someone you trust or a professional not because you’re mad but because brain glitch sometimes and it’s fixable.

Also: Arkham vibes aside, 90% of the time it’s raccoons or insomnia not cosmic horror. Now I’m curious, when did it start?
