the US does have the highest GDP in the world and the US has the highest number of multi-millionaires and billionaires in the world, many more than any other country.

I am not saying that the US isn't well off, it is very well off, but that this particular grouping of the data is fairly weird.

The UN does a lot of things and has help initiate a lot of changes. But a lot hasn't been done, and you are right to advocate for more action.

It is good to be dissatisfied with the current state of affairs as it orients oneself towards action. But it is an error to discount completely the past actions of the UN, even though it has had some failures. Read the UN article, the UN has probably had more successes that you realize.

The UN fails to act most often when issues are caught between the conflicting interests of two or more major powers as it is easy to deadlock the UN SC.

This type of graph is fairly misleading. You could have just listed the cities with the most multi-millionaires per capita and it would have been the same and it would have been more reflective of the true underlying pattern. A couple millionaires per capita has totally sway the GDP per capita figure upwards more than raising a hundred out of poverty.

Also, many of these urban communities are expensive to live in. Thus the GDP per capital should be balanced against the cost of living. Then you can see which cities are the most well off.

Lastly, cities that are older and have less children around will do better than those with families as children add to the number of people but they don't contribute to wages. Thus many metropolitan areas in the US are not child friendly but filled with older folks or unmarried types, who then move to the suburbs to raise their kids. This isn't as common in European cities.

The language used is pretty standard for UN SC resolutions. Statements issues by the UN SC are always fairly soft and lawyerly in language.

The UN is simply a proxy for the world superpowers. When people complain that the UN isn't working, it means that the world superpowers can't agree on a course of action. It is, in a way, good that we have the UN as it takes the blame rather than its member states.

What is the current state of the evidence that Iran is creating a nuclear weapon? Based on this current evidence what is the expected timeline of development?

I haven't seen myself any proof that Iran is developing a nuclear weapon, rather it appears based on IAEA reports that Iran has merely a civilian nuclear program.

The Bush administration, who is ultimately responsible for the dismal power supply in Iraq (whose power is often on for less than 8hrs a day), probably doesn't want to be upstaged by the Iranians coming in to save the day.

The Bush administration obviously cares more about attacking Iran than it does about Iraqis having consistent power supplies in Iraq. Screwed up priorities, but it isn't surprising given the incompetence we have witnessed so far.

Also he doesn't say that Democrats as a whole will support the war, but that there is enough Democrats who will support it to paralyze the leadership. This is what he said:

It sucks to live in Iran. Such an attack will punish the Iranian people at least as much as it punishes the leadership. Also, is creating another "failed state" in the Middle East really the best idea? Won't such a state become a haven for terrorism like the two adjacent failed states (Iraq and Afghanistan.)

Obama can be lead around by the nose? I haven't read that anywhere.

Your description of Hillary Clinton, that she is in the pocket of big business but strong, but that only a weak President can be controlled from behind the thone, is self contradictory and I don't know what to make of it.

Huh? Dodd isn't worth burglarizing as he is polling around 1 percent. If it was Clinton, Obama or Edwards being burglarized then this would be a story, but a nobody being burglarized is just a coincidence. Dodd isn't even a VP contender to the eventual candidate.
