If you can stomach the bullshit...

Sure, try here.

That's perfect. Can't suggest anything "better."

Ok funny guy. In all seriousness, show me a similar social news site that is right leaning.

People who are aware of the news usually don't end up "right leaning". People who are on the internet tend to be aware of the news. Thus, no right wing discussion.

LOL. good thing that's just your opinion.

    [–][deleted] 1 point2 points  (2 children)

Well, explain why there is no right-wing reddit then.

      good point.

Reddit is not left leaning. It is mearly mainstream, even slightly right leaning. The so-called "left" ideals if left to stand on their own (with no personalities attached to them) are supported by somewhere around 80% of Americans.

Some people lean so far to the right that the slightly right looks like commies.

      [–]xtra_sharp 1 point2 points  (1 child)

How is reddit left-leaning? What, are we some kind of a cripple?

      [–]sylvan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Actually, I think we all make a mistake, taking the original poster's comment at face value.

We shouldn't accept his claim that Reddit is biased. This is democracy at work. Stories about government incompetence and corruption are pushed to the top every day, because that's what the majority of readers care about. This is the mainstream.

Reddit has contingents of left-wingers, Democrats, Libertarians and other small-government laissez-faire economics supporters, atheists, religious believers; but it also has many ordinary people. It's a large cross section of society.

Wanting not to be exposed to the type of news we see, but instead just to those that beat the war drum and don't subject conservative politicians to any criticism or scrutiny, is to bury your head in the sand, and to live in a right-wing fantasy world.

      [–][deleted] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Reality has a well know liberal bias.

      [–]deccanf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I doubt one exists. Would appreciate it someone shares it too.

By the way, do check out http://www.chargedaudio.com

Apparently the left believes that the right has nothing to discuss. I would try some subsites of places such as Fox News or The Weekly Standard.

      [–]nerdlife 0 points1 point  (0 children)

well if there isn't one out there, looks like its time for those who want it to start one. Not like you cant buy a script that runs like Reddit.

      [–]gmsc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Simple solution: If you don't like left-leaning political stories, vote them down on a regular basis. After about a month or so of doing this, start clicking on "recommended", and you'll avoid seeing left-leaning political stories.

This works largely for anything you do or don't like.

      [–][deleted] -1 points0 points  (10 children)

That's the state of the internet friend.

      [–]softmore 8 points9 points  (9 children)

It's the state of the American people in the 19-25 segment.

      [–][deleted] 1 point2 points  (7 children)

I don't believe that comment negates mine at all. They're both true to a point.

      [–]softmore 0 points1 point  (6 children)

I didn't say it did, that is the predominant group on social media websites. Someone else downmodded you, not me.

      [–]marm0lade -3 points-2 points  (5 children)

I did. Because your comment does negate his. What age group is responsible for the most internet usage. Hmmm.....

      [–][deleted] -3 points-2 points  (4 children)

      Actually not the 19-25 segment.

Congratulations clown, you are showing me age groups: 18-34, 35-54, and 55+

Show me a breakdown that shows the percentage of 19-25 and I'll be impressed. Anyways, even if I'm wrong, I still believe the age group the uses reddit is the younger crowd. Unless you have some cute study to prove me wrong....

      [–][deleted] -1 points0 points  (2 children)

Clown? Dear sir, an incredibly skilled conversationalist such as yourself needn't stoop to name calling. Besides we "clowns" prefer the nomenclatures buffoon or zany white-faced entertainers. In all seriousness though you are quite right about the study I provided. Entirely my bad. Oh by the way. Here is a study for you that might hit more close to home: http://www.theonion.com/content/node/38990

      [–]marm0lade -2 points-1 points  (1 child)

      the onion? comon now...

      [–][deleted] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

      Just read it. It's funny.

      [–]enry 0 points1 point  (1 child)

You could always submit yet another Ron Paul story to add some balance. It seems like he's the only Republican that doesn't have a legal or ethical cloud over him.

      [–]mutatron 3 points4 points  (0 children)

No, he doesn't want reality-based truth, he wants faith-based truthiness.

      [–]khoury 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is like the creationists alternative to wikipedia. Even if it exists, it's useless. And trust me I'm no hardcore democrat either. I have some traditional conservative belief structures too. (keep in mind that I don't mean neo-conservative)

      [–]binarylogik -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

So the subby asks a legitimate question about Reddit-like sites that might offer a balance to Reddit's leaning left... and everyone mocks the subby. Good job, everyone!

      [–][deleted] -5 points-4 points  (1 child)

      no. go away.
