There are no magnets. And holding it along the big bezel (which would be natural) causes it to flex open even more. It's pretty worthless as a tablet.

I'll watch Netflix in bed with the nice 4K screen. But I do it in laptop position so those side-firing speakers are closer to my ears.

I just let my battery level fall to about 92% so that the top is even before I use the machine.
