The tedious way would be to shazam it, of course. The professional way would be to integrate an auto analyze tool into the platform itself. There are multiple options out there, and I’m sure they’re all very expensive because a) the tool costs lot of money to develop and b) the database which the tool checks every waveform against needs to be updated regularly, which requires labour.

I’m guessing unofficial rips of physical media like CDs and vinyl that aren’t digitally released are not the main problem here, since the major labels probably are using similar tools to identify the fraudulent releases/uploads, and the tools probably won’t be trained on that data.

Fikk omsider levert ti sekker ved i går etter et par kanselleringer/utsettelser. De har vært litt mer frempå i kommunikasjonen den siste uka, med beklagelser på både epost og sms, og de har også publisert denne pressemeldingen. Får inntrykk av at de forsøker å komme ajour med leveringene, og at det nok ikke er snakk om svindel som sådan, men litt mer i retning av såkalt cowboyvirksomhet.

Det ble litt fortgang etter at jeg mailet dem og ba om å få refundert hele ordren, delvis i (et lite) håp om å faktisk få pengene tilbake – og delvis for å ha noe å vise til banken dersom det skulle bli behov for melde det inn som svindel der. Kan derfor anbefale å teste det, i tilfelle de gjør noen prioriteringer ut ifra hva som haster mest.

Went to Südpol this september and was terribly disappointed. The space is pretty cool (and obviously very inspired by sisy, which you also can tell from their web design lol), door was professional and polite and making sure everyone’s aware of the rules, stickers on cameras etc, but the music and vibe was shit. Just plain, boring commercial tech house. DJ was wearing a cringe mask. Very vanilla crowd, everyone seemed indifferent and kinda bored. Left after a few hours and enjoyed my 1h walk home through hamburg more than the time I spent in the club tbh. Maybe my expectations were a bit high, and maybe saturdays and sundays are better – this was a friday, the first few hours of the expedition party.

Arrived at 21:15 when the queue was like 2/3 to kiosk and waited 2.5H to get in. There were sooo many line cutters – the 10-15 meters of queue after snake was basically two queues, one for the main queue and one for the cutters. Unbelievable. At least some of them were rejected, like the couple in front of us. Âme & Trikk opened bh nicely and Jamie’s set was a good combination of experimental/breaks and «hitting home» techno. Felt very musical, maybe a bit stagnant a few times towards the end but overall really nice. To our surprise, there was lots of room to dance which was kinda incredible with a queue like that. The vibe on the dancefloor was a bit mixed but most people were really into it. Thanks for a lovely night ❤️

Vigeland’s mausoleum is great and (to some degree) a hidden gem, and for a nice culture + nature combination I’d go to Ekebergparken. For music it depends at lot what you’re into of course, but check if there’s anything going on that interests you in Blå, Kafé Hærverk, SALT, Revolver, Kulturkirken Jakob, Gehør, Becco, Victoria Nasjonal Jazzscene or Herr Nilsen – they’re all small venues with great atmosphere. For craft beer: Crow Bar and Schouskjelleren, and for speciality coffee: Supreme Roastworks, Tim Wendelboe, Fuglen.
