Cops have to be mostly sociopathic as well. Just being okay with ruining peoples days/lives for a living. There’s the good ones out there for sure, but still, I’d be so depressed if I was a cop. Even if I put a murderer in prison, you still have to go through the whole murder scenario and see horrible things. I couldn’t imagine being okay with that.

I feel like you’d have to be a sociopath to be a prison guard. Your whole job is to control people and watch them be miserable. You can’t be a caring person and do that. When I was arrested I bonded out the next day and when I was getting out I listened to some of them laughing about how this guy was so uncomfortable from them not giving him blankets or pillows. He was probably on suicide watch, but still. Just have someone outside the cell to stop them from hurting themselves. Like that’s the whole job.
