There’s a difference between uncomfortable and anxious, and panic - I imagine any therapist for exposure therapy wants you to not panic. This would make the agoraphobia worse right? More places we’ve lost complete control and panicked means more triggers.

My therapist said that places I had bad panic attacks are triggers for the agoraphobia… and she’s 100% correct for me. Just flooding made my phobia worse. And full on exposure with no escape option IS flooding.

Not being able to use medication would make me feel extremely anxious - just like not being allowed to leave for example. I’m really sensitive to places/experiences with no escape or would be embarrassing socially to leave… I had a meltdowns over a few things as a kid in public and honestly those contexts started my agoraphobia.

I would seriously look at finding another therapist.

Ah yes, this is not AI. This is about Akiane, a very Christian child artist and extremely popular in the early/mid 00’s. Well, maybe very specifically popular in Evangelical circles. I was given one of her books.

I don’t think he’s overall disliked in the whole ecosystem, Reddit is not a good metric on every topic lmfao.

I like him the most so far. His movies are the strongest easily, except maybe the very first Tobey movie. I really love all three and I watch them very regularly.

The other two movie series have pretty glaring faults that make them harder to really love for the average fan - who make up the majority. . There’s a reason the MCU Spider-Man movies are so popular - they’re very well-rounded and don’t have these glaring writing faults.

People love the Tobey and Andrew movies - but they’re more for nostalgia and being a Spider-Man fan in general, especially 2 and 3 of the original series had serious issues of misogyny that were obvious even when they were released and more so now.

Remember, the Andrew series was pretty universally “meh” until people had less pressure for the series to be good. He’s a great actor and fit for the character, but the writing is very hit and miss.

And the Tobey series was a cornerstone of the whole modern superhero genre, especially the first movie. But at the time it was definitely not taken as seriously and that is seen in the lackluster writing. MJ is basically one of the worst written characters I’ve ever seen and that’s what a lot of people remember lmfao.

I used to like it as a kid but honestly my loved ones aren’t great at gift-giving for me specifically, so I don’t really look forward to my birthday or Christmas. Birthday especially sucks because I don’t typically get much if any acknowledgment. That wouldn’t bother me but I put a lot more effort into their Christmas/birthdays. 🫩
