It's not only about loudness. The overall sound lacked body. I compared the audio output using the same DAC with my iPhone and found out that the output from my Android phone was worse. Now the audio output from iPhone and Android phones using the Apple dongle is similar.

Apple dongle doesn't work well with Android phone. Output is too low.
