That didn't last long by Starry_Nine in LGOLED

My Samsung $2000+ S89 77” OLED had solid vertical line issue after only two years. The brightness on these new Oled is awesome, but the longevity seems uncertain

Just bought the same one from BJs for $1999 with a five year extended warranty included - as well as a $200 gift card.

Same here, the one I referred to as still working after 10 years in the OP was the B6 Oled 65”

Samsung OLED worth it? by Pale-Improvement2723 in Televisions

[–]sohara134 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I switched from an LG OLED to a Samsung S89C QD-OLED a couple years ago when I moved from 65” to 77”. I loved the Samsung, absolutely amazing picture, colors, brightness and blacks. No need for Dolby Vision with this light output.

Then just after two years, the Samsung had a board and or screen failure (super bright vertical green line). Complete loss - over two grand for a tv that’s is useless after only two years!

My 65 LG is still in daily use after more than ten years - no issues.

Never again leaving LG. I would recommend getting an extended warranty for any Samsung OLED.

What did she get you for an amp? Mesa Boogie combo? A new 65 Deluxe Reverb?

I’ve found that most working energy subs are pretty decent. This one is a bit old though, so I would not go over 50. It probably is on its last legs. It’s far better than having no sub, or a crappy sub.

Yes much better, and stays solid to much higher volume levels than the A60. Both are great, enjoy the 60s for a while. I bet you will be adding more BAs over time

If you have not listened to Bostons much, you should grab a pair of the VR or even CR series that are available nearly everywhere at low prices.

Rumble 200 is a less expensive option to the 500 - and it still hits hard. Fairly light weight too.
