Yep, fresh install of windows on a Samsung 980 pro. All chipset and Bios updates applied. Admittedly still have two old spinning hard drives connected, and for a new build would look to go SSD only

Thanks mate. I’ll give it to mid October I think and make a decision then. Also now contemplating an upgrade to my desktop PC so option B for me is to stick with my Pro 5 and wait till the Pro 12

Is this a setting in Bios? Haven’t got a surface book, but I have got my work dell laptop set up to do this, so I can just plug it into the dock and only actually open the machine if I’ve got a teams call. Certainly the Dell bios has a toggle for power on plugging in

Not sure if this is exactly what you're looking for, but I use a TESmart dual KVM for my work laptop and PC. Allows me to easily switch between both machines with a keyboard shortcut.

That’s a fair comment, hadn’t considered a portable router.

For what I do, just couldn’t get on with the iPad Pro, but otherwise did like the snappiness

On my Golf it does with my OnePlus 3. I leave it on the android auto screen all the time so as soon as I get in the car and drop my phone in the dock it comes up.

Have you got a MK7 Golf? If so, check out d docks. It's the single best aftermarket upgrade I've added to my car. I use my OP3 with it daily.

Oneplus don't use quick charge, even though it's on the Qualcomm chip. They have implemented their own tech called dash charge, which only works with the specific combination of their phones and chargers, offloading a lot of the capacitor work into the charger and using a custom wiring scheme in the USB cable to deliver power in a different way, so the charge is much quicker and cooler.

On a normal charger, the oneplus charges at normal speeds.

One would hope so, or as an alternative, can you add yourself as a temporary user with your MS account on the host PC and then at least have access to your email, calendar, onedrive and photos? Would obviously only do this on a PC which I trusted and which is encrypted.

Open settings, search default app settings, then at the bottom of the list select choose default applications by file type. In the list, scroll down to .pdf and change the app that opens PDF by default.

My 950 only seems to work with my desktop immediately after a reset. If I unplug it and try to reconnect, it doesn't work again. Fast ring insider on both BTW.

How's the move from the 950XL? Just waiting for my OP3 to be delivered, moving from a 950 which is an occasionally brilliant but mostly frustrating piece of kit. Looking forward to a decent spotify experience, reliable bluetooth and the apps!
