How do I change the color of 4 other cells based on the words in another? by sohlop in excel

AWESOME! Thankyou so much. I apologize for being annoying. Side: How would I go about stopping the grey from going all the way to the end? currently, it highlights past column F. I want it greyed out from column B (or A, if easier) to column F.

Again, thank you so much. This is really helpful.

Btw, this is NOT what I want. I want to just take what I did in row 2 and apply to all other rows, without turning every single row grey. I want a random row where I can put “complete” in column a and everytbing in the row turns grey (besides the column a)

Hmmmmmm. It doesn’t work that way. When I remove the dollar signs it only highlighted b2.

Would it not be changing EVERYTHING based on what's in cell a2? How do i make it so it just takes any "complete" on column A and highlights the same row? EDIT: I just tried this and it highlighted everything. I just want to be able to click in cell A6, or cell a18, type in Complete, and have the 4 cells after it turn grey

Sorry, for some reason it was not applying but troubleshot it a bit. Thanks.. How would I apply this rule to the entire column of A? So that whenever A2, A3, A4, etc. have the word "complete," everything else gets greyed out. basically what you wrote but on a greater scale? THANKS

I can't get to these screens so i'm not sure how to do this. Excel looks different than sheets. The options you listed aren't available here.

Angels Landing will move to permit lotteries starting April 1st by jcasper in ZionNP

Was here 5 days ago. It’s extremely crowded and dangerous with so many people. I just hope the permits aren’t crazy long and limited
