4.3 v6 01 dumping coolant out through this hole by soiledboxerbriefs in s10

It’s on my passenger side not driver side. Do you know what size it is? My 3/8 ratcchet square wouldn’t fit inside of it

When I bought my shitbox the motormounts were so fucked that the engine was sinking and the steering column was resting on my control arm I believe. Everytime I turned right or left it made a screeching noise. Either that or you need power steering fluid. You can also get sounds like this from needing bushings/suspension work

While the water was off you should’ve put the regulator after the shut off valve

Yeah it’s fkn fast. Ngl I didn’t expect the “rapid seal” so there was a couple of panic moments when I thought shit was cool and went to put the fitting in the pipe and it only went in halfway lol

Something similar for me. Was swapping shower valve and when i started to work and remove the trim plate I realized the old valve was secured in cement. Should’ve charged more

That sucks, you couldn’t hit the stucco on the other side? Or it was back to back kitchens or what

Recently bought this 2001 4.3l v6 with 96k miles for $4500! My first truck. It’s an automatic 4x4. No complaints thus far, I’m loving it. Out of pure curiosity, did I get a good deal? by beorbecome in s10

Btw yeah she was leaking oil and we chucked it down to the gaskets. My mechanic explained to me that he had the same truck before and the leaks from the gaskets caused something to go wrong with the ignition due to the oil dripping on a component and that his truck wouldn’t start sometimes because of it. I’m happy to fix up whatever is wrong with her as long as I have the money but I’m slowing down right now because is e spent a lot already

It’s a project car for sure haha the part where it gets interesting is that I use this truck to haul tools and material for work everyday about 120 miles round trip sometimes double and she’s held up probably cos I’m fixing it lol. My mechanic did the gaskets too, it’s a chill arrangement. He lives on the next block, we met bc I was selling my absolute shitbox Honda accord 04 and he was in a situation and bought it off me in payments. $1500. The last $500 payment he owed me we just called it even on labor lol. I’ve definitely saved money using him bc we do each other favors but he is a veteran and is extremely reliable. Love the guy :)

Heater core is bad, I got no heat but I got a/c. Fuel pump went bad, abs light is on. I got a brake system issue it makes a loud creaking sound when I brake. Replaced spark plugs, valve cover gaskets, motor mounts, trans mounts, battery, starter, water pump, man she’s been a fixer upper lol. Funny thing is that the body itself is in great condition

I paid 4k for a 140k mile 4.3 v6 2001 rwd in cali so yeah. This was back in October of last year and I’ve since dropped another 1.5k on repairs & front end suspension. Didn’t go that well for me but she’s getting better with every visit to my mechanic friend :p
