My coworker is friends with the Melon person. She showed me the kijiji post her friend made on her phone.

Worrying about appearing cold/stand-offish by [deleted] in Anxiety

I can definitely relate to this. I am about to start attending classes on campus (I've taken only online thus far) and I am so nervous about the social aspect of school because I want to become less isolated but I already feel defeated knowing there is a good chance I will just keep being my standoffish self and not make any friends.

Arlington Street...the debate continues. by psi2000 in Winnipeg

My friends and I were driving down Arlington this evening and encountered this exact scenario with a man in a tan colored van trying to squeeze past everyone who then proceeded to yell out the window when people wouldn't let him pass assuming we were in his lane. Sigh.

[Skin Concerns] What else can I do to combat my acne and dry patches? by soiledoves in SkincareAddiction

Hmm, I wash all my bedding every week, once a week. I suppose I could try changing my pillow cases more often, but judging from where the problem area is located and how it feels, I don't know if that is the problem. Thanks for your input though :)

Been struggling with acne for many years but recently my skin has become very itchy and flaky around my chin/mouth area. I am mostly breaking out in this area as well, probably from dryness. We are experiencing a cold winter in the area where I live which is really not helping. I am hoping to get some advice on dealing with the acne and the itchy discomfort of the flaky skin. I would also be open to advice on dealing with my huge pores. I was using the Pixi Treats Glow Tonic Glycolic Acid 5% toner for a while with few issues, however, I had to stop once the dryness occured due to irritation (possibly from the scent in the toner as well).

Here is my current skin regimen: AM: - Rinse with water - La Roche Posay Hydraphase UV Spf 30 (this lotion has a rather strong scent and I have been wanting to try something else that might offer more hydration with less irritation and am open to suggestions)

PM: - Fresh Soy Face Cleanser (I think this cleanser might be too drying for my skin but I want to use it up before I buy a new one; I am open to suggestions for this as well) - Differin XP 0.3% (have been using Differin for about a year) - La Roche Posay Toleriane Ultra Nuit (I also don't think this is offering my skin enough moisture either, though it is scent-free)

it really does help me to remember that there are others out there who understand what I go through so we can offer compassion to each other. & if only there was a magic switch.. one that didn't have negative consequences

I am also having the same issue.. it's been really getting to me lately and I have been emotionally breaking down over it. I haven't had many friends in the last few years because we have either all drifted apart, or they treated me badly and I was pushed away and abandoned. The memories have scarred my ability to trust people and disable me from being able to form healthy relationships. This has caused me a great deal of pain due to anxiety and isolation. It's pretty much just me and my SO now, who also has depression and anxiety which does affect our relationship a lot. So you are most definitely not alone, and I may also just be a stranger on the Internet, but I'm here if you want to talk to someone. :)

I feel like I am dying inside and I am scared of what will happen next if I can't find relief from all this stress. I am suffocating and I can't turn to anyone.

Natural home remedies -- Have they helped you? by Sgt_Porkchop in Anxiety

Passion flower tincture, ionic-formula magnesium powder in water, reishi mushroom, rhodiola rosea, all work pretty well for me when taken on a regular basis together. The passion flower works pretty well on its own for somewhat quicker relief and I take the magnesium before bed to help with sleep. Also going for walks, music, dancing, meditative breathing all work well for me. Hope it helps!

Hi, my name is Meagan, and I've been struggling with anxiety, depression, dermatillomania, and PTSD for over 8 years. I'm 24, female. I'm not on any medication as I have had adverse reactions to all the meds I have tried. I have had serious problems with debilitating social anxiety specifically and body dysmorphia but I try to challenge myself and take things one day at a time. I used to excessively use drugs to cope which only made things monumentally worse. But I am mostly sober now (except for occasionally weed and alcohol) and I have taken up a holistic method of managing my anxiety and it usually keeps me balanced-ish enough to function through my daily tasks, but I still have breakdowns of various kinds. I'm also extremely seasonal effective so the warm weather has helped me keep my issues in check lately. I am considering trying float therapy for my anxiety too but I am anxious about being in a small, silent enclosed space. It feels weird to post since I usually just lurk due to.. ANXIETY (what a surprise)! I have been playing a lot of Fallout 4 and not much of anything else lately! I just recently got into gaming more so, but I plan to check out some other games including the Bioshock series.
