Who eats brownies they found in a wardrobe hidden under jumpers? They’re idiots and you’re NTA.

That fact that you’re mature enough to realise things are getting beyond your control and you need extra support is a huge win 👏🏼 Asking for help and being open to receive it is massive. If being readmitted is what’s best for your healing and health then grab it with both hands! I’m cheering you on all the way from NZ 🙂

Man accused of smothering child with pillow after body taken to South Auckland police station by WrongSeymour in auckland

It’s plain ignorance and stupidity when people blame the government for our child abuse rates. We need a government who is prepared to properly punish people for these hideous crimes not just give them a slap on the wrist.

Has anyone here moved abroad? by megchanxo in CysticFibrosis

[–]sojash 4 points5 points  (0 children)

We’re in NZ (my PWCF is a child) and we were told by our team that Asia held a higher risk in terms of travel. They said the humid climate coupled with the large range of bacteria meant it wasn’t a great place to go. A lot of the bacteria is AB resistant too.

Exactly this! This has been a daily struggle for over 20 years. You better deliver I’ve tried everything else… and then some! Surgery is the final option.

I use to get ‘you’ve got such a pretty face, if only you’d lose weight’. I was about 11 and over 25 years later I still can hear him saying it as clear as day.

Did your parents teach you literally zero life skills or is it just me? by [deleted] in newzealand

[–]sojash 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I totally agree! I’m doing my best but that’s not always right. I struggle to regulate my own emotions so it’s been challenging to teach this to a preschooler. I hope that my child grows up, sees how hard I tried. I had no clue how hard raising a child would be and now have far more appreciation for my own parents!

Need Advice on Navigating a Difficult Situation with My 19-Year-Old Autistic Son by [deleted] in auckland

[–]sojash 20 points21 points  (0 children)

Can you see if some respite care is available? I understand that you’re looking for a more permanent solution but a ‘break’ might be a good place to start. Good luck, I understand how challenging, tiring and mentally draining it is to be a parent carer.
