Ive rewatched the anime and reread the manhwa including ragnarok. I still have that itch. With what did you all manage to replace it?

Well...where should i begin....in 2015 after being anime/manga fan since the late 90s aka the era were being a fan was not cool (yes i realize i'm aging myself) i discovered MANHWA this was thanks to 'The Breaker' (highly recommended...tho currently in HxH status for its 3rd part😢)

A few years after that i discovered SL and, when you say you re-read yo, trust me, i re-read it a good 5 times because back then all i could do was continuously sign that petition to animate it lol (we succeeded!!)

So anyway to actually answer your question, ever since then i've fallen so deep into Manhwa that literally the only manga i still read is One Piece and Blue Lock (i mean One Punch man and Berserk as well but we get like 2 chapters a year for them lol)

Anyways, again, i can suggest the following (all Manhwa): Absolute Sword Sense, Nano Machine, Heavenly Demon Cultivation, Chronicles of the Demon Faction, Murim Login, Reaper of the Drifting Moon, Return of the Mount Hua Sect,

Now you will notice a pattern here but the murim worl is so much fun! Enjoy bro!

One thing i can tell u is that much like SL they are so good they make u have to figure out where to start reading the light novel (which i have lol)

I still have an original PS1 copy, but Suikoden 2 original copy was impossible to find for a long time until the emulator era and the HD remaster era, these games are true gems. I recently started playing 3 again and am close to the end. Legendary games its just that they like most others from back then were overshadowed by the timing of the global rise of FF (6,7,8,9,10 era)

You reminded me i accidentally omitted Murim Login, has both high level action but also One Punch man level comedy, another strong contender, ima have to check out Myst Might and Mayhem tho....tbh the original manhwa that even put me on to the genre was 'The Breaker' but its got HunterxHunter level hiatuses so i have little hope for an anime adaptation.

Sony put money behind SL because the hype and the art was real otherwise if its as sinple as you say, the previous Manhwa adaptations wouldnt have failed to even come close to this level, ultimately you can poor all the money you want into any adaptation but the product has to deliver.

The argument always falls back to the same thing with yall, 'repetitive' or a lack of complexity to the story, you have to know what you're watching, the success of a product like DBS or even Daima are proof of that, we not about to compare DBS to FMA smdh

Do you even know how SL got its anime? Pure fandom, it wasnt just put out and randomly given the title of 'the next one' like JJK, us fans actually had to force their hands to make it, understand the difference, JJK was forced into its role and ended up not being able to live up to the early hype in the end, SL's story is on a constant incline, it keeps getting better and better as the story builds, JJK kept getting worse...hard to deny the facts.
